Talking XEDE versus Dynoflash 1/4 mile times

Well let's see. This is my old time with the dynoflash program (The best time with the dynoflash program, I must add)

60' - 2.022
1/8 - 8.992 @ 77.98 mph
1/4 - 14.057 @ 95.82 mph

XEDE Times

60' - 1.961
1/8 - 8.724 @ 81.27 mph
1/4 13.608 @ 101.27

Both runs were done on 91 octane maps.

That must of been you with the BBY Evo at Cal Speedway. I remember you telling me your opinion about the differences between both products. You left a lil early but it was nice meeting you. OUT!

I believe both were custom tuned from what I remember. Denom need to work on that 60 ft.

I believe my stock mph was 97 mph through the 1/4 mile. Yeah IE, I still need to work on my 60', but it was better then some of the other Evo owners there (Someone was cutting 2.0 sec. 60'). Plus I never miss a shift

GP and others Fontana can be hot and the headwind is consistent but the mph of the headwind varies. So heat and headwind factors might be part of the variance. But maybe his car did not take to the flash or in the heat it went to the secondary map.Pulled timing.

Yeah Denom I believe one guy was burning his clutch pretty bad. You should of waited till it cooled off to run. I believe you left right when the cool weather was rearing its beauty.

They are also cutting 1.7-1.8 sec 60' times in conditions that are a lot better than what you get at CA Speedway. The real story her is that traps went up by several mph which isn't unusual

Shiv, using dave's computer

1nastyevo, Come run out here in a headwind and that 13.6 turns into a 13.8 at less mph. FWIW The only thing cool about Cal Speedway is the launch pad. I can cut 1.7s- low 1.8s but only et 12.3-12.4 at 110-111mph. At Carlsbad(sea level, not into headwind, cooler) I was running 12.2s all day with 1.8 + 60 fts. give me Fontanas launch pad at sea level and no headwind and maybe 12.1 at 112-113mph. 1NastyEvo, it is hard to compare times from different tracks. Fontana is not English town or one of the other short tracks many report great stock time on. Also 91 oct is a hinderence out here also. Yeah, Denom will get better at his 60 ft and 13.6 will be about 13.3 but the mph will not increase especially into that headwind.

IE and Shiv, I understand exactly what you guys said about the different track locations and conditions. Your exactly right, the elevation should also be taken into consederation.
