Staged upgrades question
Hey guys I had a quick question to ask. I really wanted to mix and match products from different vendors; but not anymore. Vishnu products seem to have the best quality and I think they are worth the premium. Anyway, here is my question.
If I purchase a stage 1 signature (and get the hks 272 i/e cams), exactly about much power will I be putting down on pump 93/94 octane and 100+ octane? Also what will my trap speed be? Also which cam combo do I need to go to stage 2?
I see some guys running lows 12's using the stage 1 +, is this on race gas and if so what are your mods?
I live in NJ as well(can I get Turbo-Trix to custom tune my xede?); so I guess I get the better gasonline. Also how much of a difference is there between 91 and 93 octane?
Take care,
Matt

Most guys running low 12's are running a Vishnu Stg 1+, which consists of a full turbo back exhaust, Xede, cam gears, reflashed ECU, cam shafts, and an upgraded fuel pump.
To hit the low 12's you have to be running a race gas map for 104 octane on up to C16. Other than that, you will be running mid to high 12's on pump gas. As far as 93 to 94 octane, you will be getting around 275-280 whp on Shiv's dyno and that is with a base map that you would download online.

First off the flash is to raise the rev limiter, and eliminate fuel cut when boosting above 21-22 psi. Low 12s on 100 octane and expect to trap as high as 113mph depending on track and conditions. 93-94 oct is about 12 -17whp i believe difference from race gas. Expect about 12.3-12.4 at 109-111mph. Now on 91 octane out here in Cali man 30+ hp difference bettween 91-100 oct so 91 octane is about a 12.5-12.7 car at about 106-108. These are best case scenerios and altitude, heat, wind, track prep etc all have there affect and expect .2 variance bettween tracks. Some tracks can be up to a 1/2 second slower especially ones in Colorado.Altitude kills. Go to a sea level track on a nice cool night and you should see some good times.

Thanks for the information.
My stage 1+ with HKS 272i/e cams puts down ~290whp on 93 Octane on an AWD Dynojet. I am running the highflow cat and signature exhaust with cam-gears set to -4/-1. I don't drag my car, so I can't help ya on 1320 times, but I can tell you that with the cams added to the stage 1 the car pulls like mad all the way to redline
