I called all the vendors that advertise on th evolution site. They were all very helpful. One stood out, Vivid Racing. It was not the price or the products that won me over. I spoke with Dan on the phone for a half an hour asking questions about my new EVO. He helped me develop a plan for the performance upgrades that will fill my needs. He even tried to talk me out of spending money on parts he felt were not matching to my thoughts. It is not very often you see a saleperson not put money first. I should know, I am one of them.

I am new to the turbo world but not new to high performance autos. I must give Dan props for being a professional and having the knowledge to earn my business. If you are thinking of buying parts for you EVO, then you should give Vivid a shot at your business. Thanks Vivid Racing for your help with needs!

If you read the post I state that he helped "ME" develop a plan. Dan was very helpful and the intakes, electronic boost controls, exhaust, and BOV's.

He did not advise me on what to do, only provided information which I could make a decision. He was not pushy only informative.

I will state again it is rare you find someone who will speak with you on the phone for a half an hour before you have bought anything. PROPS to VIVID RACING.

 

To reply directly to your question, When all the parts get in and I am in town long enought to put them on, I will give a full write up in the evo tech forum. My ultimate goal is a 12'5-13.0 1/4 mile car that is road course ready with everyday drivablity. Not the easiest thing to accomplish.

I plan on staging the parts with a couple of days inbetween so I can grade the performance. I will take pics, and it will be in layman's terms. The parts are on the way.

Its too bad that their shipping/tracking department sucks a dick!!!!!!!!!!

 

I find that to be very funny.

 

My order got shipped out the same day. It is posible that a consistancy problem may exsist. I looked at the poll results in the thread on the main page and around 80% said they got excellent service.

It is the 10-20 percent who somehow get slighted that speak the loudest. No matter what the customer is always right.
