I just got my EVO and ive been asking most of my friends about BOV's and some other parts, ive heard that some of the BOV's leak on the EVO and it takes away HP and makes the car run different and such, a few of them said the HKS Super Sequential Blow-Off Valve is perfect and doesnt leak, others have said it does. What should i look for when i choose a BOV or what ones have been proven to work the best? anything will help thanks alot.

 

personaly i would wait for hks to come out with there blow off valve for the evo before i would buy anything else = ) , just my .02 cents , but i would for sure buy it from vivid = ) they always get the stuff earlier then the other shops plus they just bad ***!

 

You got any idea when that will be comming out?

 

supposedly in a week or two, its better to wait, but if you cant just get aem's intake that way yuou will be able to hear the stock one, the stock one is still oud enough to be noticed by anyone on the street = P

ya for me i would go with the hks. bov once it is released because of favor towards there parts. Vivid will be getting thier shipment of parts soon plus they have other bov in stock ready to ship

 

the site i would order the blow off valve from would be www.vividracing.com they dont have the aem intake right now but the hks unit is very nice also and so is the rmr unit which is what im running right now = ) vivid is the best vendor ive delt with so far!

 

indeed ive heard many good things around here on the forums about vividracing, so i just wanna get a good idea of what i'm gonna order when the time comes. I will probally go for the AEM intake like you've said and the HKS SSQ blow off valve when it comes out for the EVO-8.

 

yea and btw aem only has one for the evo, but if u really got money to spend get the hks carbon fiber box put in like vivid has its so sweet!

 

i have the hks bov my evo. i'm running it vent to air. it sounds bad ***, but i going to recirculate it back into the intake. lots of fuel is being eatin up running vta. only thing is there are a few other parts to get for this bov. personally, i'm thinking of selling it and getting the forge. if you're not going to running big boost pressures, the sock one is cool for now. this is just my cut at it. hope it helps.
