I'm developing an Evo specific kit based on their system. I'm currently testing the system right now just to see how I like it but so far it's fantastic.

Coolingmist is currently the only one who has this pump specifically made for meth/alky injection by Shurflo. Their 2.5 gallon trunk tank comes pre-tapped with the pump mounted and a low level sensor (you supply your own LED) already installed so the tank/pump is a snap to install.

Another nice touch is that the injector can be threaded from the outside whereas some of the other kits have to be threaded from the inside.

The software is pretty good although I hope to see it evolve a bit more. It starts as a linear rate which you can modify to be more aggressive or not. Unfortunately you can't tune it point by point by point along the curve, only the overall curve (at least not that I've found so far). since I don't have a map sensor on the vehicle I actually use the controller to log my boost levels. yes you can datalog with it, boost, pump rate and your 0-5v input if you're using it.

The kit itself is a very generic kit though. insturctions are generic, the hose supplied is not nearly long enough for the Evo, included wires are not long enough nor enough quantity. These are some things I hope to address with an application specific kit (where all you have to do is basically tap into a power source and boost source). I opted for the flow/clog detector as another safety measure.

Hope that answers any questions you have for now. If you have any other questions feel free to PM me.

The parts in the coolingmist kit seem far better quality than any other kit out in the market. That's why I bought it. But the thing is a nightmare for someone who doesn't have much knowledge in installing the product. So I traded in for the SMC kit. I think it's a downgrade from coolingmist but it does the job.

I just found this thread. First I would like to thank those that have purchased our product. On this forum our products are represented by quite a few dealers. I want to make everyone aware that we are aware that we need to upgrade some of our instructions. Our kits ship with a diagram and basic instructions. Finally I have hired a manager to run our Retail Operations which will allow more time to refine our instructions and some other things. Over the last 6-7 months we have been working extremely hard to bring new and exciting products. I would say we have released 7 major products since January.

Our kits are meant to be Universal, That is, the controller can be tuned exactly to any vehicle. What is left is our fittings, hose, pump and Injectors. always included is 15 feet of high pressure hose and 3 feet of low pressure hose. If you are purchasing from our dealers and feel that is not enough hose, by all means ask them for more. There is only a slight difference in cost for more hose.

Also, keep in mind we do 7 day a week support. So those of you that purchase from our dealers can call us directly for support. We have added so many dealers recently, I dont want to leave anyone out, but here are some dealers that we have on this forum:

Innovative Tuning (Inn Tune)
Import Image
Modacar
zze86
Agile Auto
Precision Dyno Tune (recently change thier name to something else).

Also, I want to point out that we are NOT a sponsoring vendor on this forum yet. I make this thread to support our dealers and to clear up some concerns. We ask those of you that are interested in our products please support this forum by purchasing from our dealers on this forum.

These dont need to be adapted they work right out of the box. There are many, many evos that have these installed.

If you contact Mike McGinnis at www.innovativetuning.com (he is a vendor on this site) he can talk to you about the kit. Not only are they a stocking dealer but they have experience installing on an EVO so he can answer any of your installation questions in detail.

Here is a link to his site:

I can attest to the great support. I had problems with mine during installation(bad ground) and called and got help on a Sunday afternoon. I recommend this kit to anyone. I have had absolutely zero issues after getting it completely installed. Coolingmist is a great product and company.

Yep I made a custom bracket and cage to bolt in where my battery used to be. If I need to take the kit out I release 2 bolts and detatch the hose and it lifts out in 1 piece, tank and all.

Coolingmist - when do you guys anticipate more detailed instructions. I had purchased your deluxe kit last year and sold it because the instructions were not specific or geared toward my kit. I like the varicool controller etc, but I dont want to run into the same situation.

Hi, I will look into seeing what I can do about evo specific instructions. We dont own an evo to actually do that, but its not out of our reach.

The vari-cool controller is so simple a cave man can do it!

There are 4 wires on the controller and a port to put the vacuum line over. The rest is mounting the equipment.

The deluxe single stage kit is alot more complex to install because it has relays and fuse holders and boost switches, controller kit is really a piece of cake.

having said that, I have no time frame for anything EVO specific, but its my opinion that you dont need evo specific instructions.

Let me know if you have specific questions about install that I can help with.

Thats great

I just wish we had time to install. You are welcome to come down to visit our shop, take a look at our controller and commander setup.

We are so busy that we dont do installation. We have a shop with a dyno in Atlanta that will do our installations for us. We are still working out the details with them so I cant mention who they are yet. In the mean time anyone that needs a local install we can get you hooked up with a local company.

We are planing a move this fall to a larger facility, once that happens we may consider doing installations.
