Is it really safe having meth mounted inside

im curious to know if there is any fumes associated with meth. Im just curious if anyone has smelt any fumes from it etc.... id much rather keep it under the hood if possible just its kind of a pain in the *** to mount the pumps due to their size....

If you keep the cap on the tank you will never smell fumes and for me its safer in the trunk where there is less chance of a fire and it also stays cooler there...

I do not recommend storing meth in the engine bay since it's boiling point is under 150 degrees F. I haven't seen any issues with meth getting hot while stored in the trunk.

Most tanks aren't airtight for safety reasons, but if your back seat is in place you shouldn't smell any fumes.

its good not to have a cap thats seals too well......

when fluid is drawn out of the container, it creates a partial vacuum and if not allowed to "vent", will cause issues with fluid feed to the pump

Never had any issue with my in the trunk, I'd rather have it in the trunk in case of any accidents, I wouldn't want meth spilling onto hot engine parts....

I am sure the people who came up with the factory washer tanks took this into consideration...

Idealy you want your tank sealed air tight except for a ported nipple that you can hook a clear tygon tubing to and route along inside trunk to left aft vent chamber (my 04 has a panel opposite side to the washer res).

Depending on temps and surface in(3)you can develop quit a bit of fumes and prolonged chronic exposure will tear up the CNS, liver, and kidneys. If you have children as passengers then make it air tight with a vented tube.

Just remember the headspace on the methanol must allways be open to atmosphere and (even with windows open) inside your trunk or cabin deoesn't qualify as atmosphere
