i run a 75 shot on my car, the power of when it hits in unreal compared to just when youre running on the turbo.. i very HIGHLY suggest getting everything u need, bottle heater, window switch, purge, etc.. the window switch is the biggest thing i would suggest (www.dynotunenitrous.com) u can lock out first gear and set the rpms to what u want to spray (incase u miss shift u wont blow it up).. i have been running this for a year now with no problems.. the car loves it. as for an intercooler sprayer, dont waste your money.

^^^ The intercooler thing is a waste of nitrous. Most intercooler chillers use C02 not nitrous. If you are injecting N2O (nitrous) there is no need for an intercooler chiller as intake temps will already be freezing from the spray. In fact turbo cars often see larger returns than expected.... example spray a 50 shot but actually pick up 65 due to cooling of the compressed air.

To Hic, I'm not sure I would ever recommend running a 250 shot of nitrous on an EVO. Not sure if you have that strapped on a 4G63 or not. I'm sure a 100 shot is fine on a safe tune because nitrous power and turbo power are really the same thing.... more fuel and more air... and yes direct port is the best solution but its also the most expensive and more work to install.

I don't think you can bad mouth any of the big four nitrous manufacturers. On all the kits you'll have to deal with a nitrous jet, a fuel jet, and bottle pressure. These determine the power and tune. I rarely hear about kit failures but I often hear about dumb people making mistakes and blowing stuff up. Nitrous is safe as long as you respect it.

so any noticeable difference with the co2 intercooler chiller? i would like to get some nitrous but i dont have all the supporting mods. plus i didnt know about the temperature thing. i wanted to have it and use it in those emergency caes but to have to wait for it to get to a certain temperature would prolly be an inconvenience.

^^ I really believe the intercooler "chillers" are a waste of money. They do work but a 5# bottle only lasts like a minute. So you might get 5 full races from a bottle. Personally I would by a few gallons of race gas and crank the boost instead. That or run alchy injection which will allow you to run more boost, more timng, and chemically cool the intake charge.

Here is a question, if I tune for nitrous can I still run that map when I am not spraying? Reason I ask is because I don't have a way to switch back and forth between maps on the fly.

Yes. You tune nitrous via the fuel and nitrous jets. So your nitrous free map will be tuned via the ECU and then your nitrous will be tuned via the jets.

I think you misunderstood my question. I can't switch between maps. I can't have a nitrous free map. Its one or the other. I was just wondering if I could run my nitrous map even when I wasn't spraying. That way when I did want to spray I could because that map would already be loaded on my ecu.

Thanks

^^^ You get your car tuned without nitrous and that tune goes on the ECU. You can use spray on that map. But you can also tune your nitrous AFR by using the different jettings.

Basically you will have one tune on your ECU. Doesn't matter if you use nitrous or not. Once you start to spray a 100 shot you may want to back timing off a degree or two or add a splash of race gas.

A 35 shot is next to nothing. I would get tuned at least with a 50 shot.

^^ LOL .... but seriously if you only plan on running a 35 shot then its more trouble than its worth. I would start with a 50 and graduate to a 75. Most people don't see the "plus one" returns (75 shot jet yielding 90 hp) until they get to the 75 shot.

How does does the car run while you not spraying?

I'm thinking if it's tuned for nitrous and you're not using it then it would run like crap at WOT.
