I actually find the install very rewarding and enjoyable - to me its just as much fun as banging a hot girl only the aquamist kit does not nag afterwards LOL

Seriously though my passion is for working on and modfiying cars. As such, it is the process of actually doing the work that I enjoy. I could understand how some users may be put off by the complexity of the Aquamist installation but trust me in the end the functionality of the system is vastly superior to any other and well worth the extra effort.

One more note - care and effort spent in your install pays off with a leak free and reliable system for years to come - take time and do not be in a rush.

Members who are seeking installation services, I do installs loally in my home facility in Stamford, CT and I also install these on my traveling tuning trips.

If anyone has any questions feel free to PM or call me anytime

This is here I like to hang the pump on a Evo

Al,

Looks great, so tidy. Very beautiful install.

Doesn't the cavity have a AYC revseroir bottle on the left?
I managed to have a close look on a evo on Saturaday at my loacasl tuning shop. I will be looking to fabricate a bracket but the bottel puts me off it.

No AYC on US evos, So mounting the tank or the pump in that space is pretty popular.

That's a nice spot for the pump. Im mounting mine behind the back seat. Today I ran all of the wires and tubing etc. It took me a while but I was going slow. I will pittle with it after work and perhaps pick up some mounting hardware on the way home from work.

I like the stealth install but I'd rather have easy access to it for inspection, filling etc... I don't carry anything in the trunk

Same here Mellon. Here is a question. Did you guys ground the DDS3 to the ecu pin 58? Then did you ground the the Fia2 to the chasis? Also the jumper on the DDS3 should be set to where on a car using MBC?

the jumper has nothing to do with MBC or EBC. It depends on what you are going to use as the trigger for the system. Set to PWM if you want to use the injector duty cycle as the trigger. IF you are going to use say a map sensor then set the jumper to MAP

I ground all wires at one point on the area where the ecu mounts to the car.

The jumper is just your trigger for the activation of the spray. I suggest you use fuel injector based trigger.

Richard - as the other member pointed out that unit is not supplied to USDM market cars

come on don't be so lazy look around. There are tons of people running meth kits all over the place.

The gains depends on what other mods you have, what kind of turbo, what gas you are using etc..

Also are you going to use water, meth? What kind of boost do you want to run?

I would say on average on a stock turbo car you can expect to gain around 60TQ and 30HP. However, this can vary a lot based on individual setup

I didn't say it was apparent, but that you could easily find out by browsing around a bit in the W/I forums.

Hellcat, a couple of things to keep in mind with the install.

Read the manual, print out from the online manual the wiring diagram to a color printer.....make sure to understand the trigger setting......IMO use the FIDC, also understand the failsafe output/hookup = the images differ in the choices you make = plan first.

Cut the lines with a sharp razor blade, I use something like what is used for scraping stickers, and use more of a chop action then a saw action.....this results in a clean cut. Bad cuts can contribute to a leak.

Locate the filter were you can get at it for easy maintenance.

Try and keep the tank outlet a little higher then the pump inlet so as to make tank priming easy.

IMO if you plan the install by laying out the components next to the car in the approximate location of how they will be installed in the car you will see the areas of concern = where to mount the DDS3 and the junction box for example and therefore know what needs to be removed in order to run the wires.

Keep some slack in the wires/lines near bends and turns, get too tidy and and you run into chafing issues.

Use plain distilled water till you know 100% no leaks and things are all working as should. I would go slowly and check and double check things before drilling holes for the bulk head fitting and the float = I've made this mistake.

Do the install when you have plenty of time = walk away and take a break OR go back to it the next day so as to not get too excited and start making mistakes.

Coil up any extra length of wires at the junction box rather then cut = allows for you to get to it and adjust the trigger easier it or check wire connections if theres an issue.

Pick spots for the hardware first during planning and then consider the end point to be the junction box and run wires to the junction box from the other components.

Use distilled water from sealed containers......its cheap stuff no need to save any left over = dump it, its not polluting.

Careful with methanol = read about the hazards and make sure you understand the risks with handling and storage = its a fuel.

Use good quality methanol and keep any unused supply sealed up and stored safely.......no kids you should be OK.....have kids....keep them away and/or lock it up

Keep anything like funnels used to fill the tank clean.......IMO dedicate stuff like this to being used only for filling the tank.

Dudical posted up in another thread how to make a test trigger button = manually run the system (the HFS-5) so you can confirm things without needing to go out on the road. To compliment this you might want a buddy and a decent scale and a clean container.

Learn to calibrate the gauge correctly for the jets you select to use. The HFS-5 manual and the forum have info on this.......if you get to this point and you do not get it ASK = no shame to not really understanding something new.

Last thing and I'm off my stump, read the manual prior to install and maybe review it again a couple of times during the install.....some stuff makes more sense when you have it in your hands and your installing it.
