DDS3 help...
I need help on setting my DDS3 gauge. But first, let me say that I have read and reread the HFS-5 install manual and the various links pertaining to the setting of the gauge. Let me tell you what I've tied.
If I turn all 3 tuning screws to the full counter clockwise position and count the clicks until each screw is in the full clockwise position, then this is what I count:
The SC screw has 18 clicks, WL screw has 28 clicks, and the WH has 18 clicks. Why would the WL screw have more clicks than the WH?
With the SC screw set all the way counter clockwise, it displays 5 out of the total 8 bars while at WOT. If I turn it one click clockwise, I get full bars. Of course if I keep turning the SC screw clockwise it will continue to display full bars. Is this normal?
I am running a failsafe solenoid. I can’t get the window set correctly. When I start out with the SC turned fully counter clockwise (so it will display 5 out of 8 bars) and start off with the WL turned 6 clicks from full counter clockwise and the WH turned 6 clicks from full clockwise, then the failsafe solenoid kicks in and reduces my boost. The “B” on the right side of the bars will stay on even after I let up on the accelerator. If I turn the WL screw clockwise until the “B” turns off (approx 3 more turns clockwise), It will still activate the failsafe. If I turn it back 1 click counter clockwise, then the “B” will stay on all the time (someone told me the gauge is picking up the voltage of the HSV or something like that). If instead, I turn the WL screw clockwise (I even continued clicking the screw to the full clockwise position), the failsafe keeps activating. Is this because that my only usable SC position is in the full counter clockwise position (remember at this setting it will light up 5 bars out of 8)?
If I turn the SC screw in any other position beside the full counter clockwise position, it will display full bars.
My local tuner (who install the HFS-5 kit) had to set the screws as follows:
SC set at 3
WL set at 6
WH set at 11
When set at this setting, the gauge shows full bars, but the “B” only come on for a split second in the beginning and then turns off during WOT runs. This setting does not activate my failsafe solenoid. I’m concerned that this gauge won’t activate the failsafe solenoid if there is a problem with the flow of meth.(the failsafe window is too wide to be useful)
I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thank you.

I need to have the following information is you can provide:
1. The serial number of the flow sensor.
2. voltage at pin15, relative to ground.
3. voltage at pin16, relative to ground
4. voltage at pin 3, relative to ground
5. voltage at pin4, relative to ground.
Use this information, I should be able to help you further.

I also just email you. Thanks for your help Richard.
Thank you for all your help Richard.
I just PM'd ( and also email you) you my shipping address for the replacement parts. I'll let you know once I receive them.
You offer excellent customer support and I really appreciate your time and effort.
