Yeah I'm sure it's something stupid. It's just frustrating because I've had this kit for so long. My wiring is obviously wrong.

It sounds like you have it the injector wires hooked up wrong, so its is opening the HSV(intiating the system) but due to the lack of voltage it will not open long enough to allow the pump to fully come on. The red wire simply needs to be hooked up to a switched +. At the ECU is most easy. And the Green to the injector - at the ECU . Just know when your looking at the diagram from the install guide that its fliped from what you see so all the wires are backwards.

Good Luck

I'll check my wiring from the ECU tomorrow. I'd hate to dig into a rats nest in the dark, especially when it's my daily driver. I think I'm getting confused about the switched power too. I guess it'll just have to wait.

I just reread it. You said when you hit boost it comes on normal, then when not hitting boost it dribels out??? Correct?

Let me think.......

things can getting confusing quick, if you trace each wire one at a time your almost certain to find the problem.

Check the Green wire (injector wire to ecu) Make sure its NOT grounding out on anything else causing the system to activate.

Also play with the IDC activation point turn it all the way to the right see if its still dribbels... Then let us all know.

Thanks

I'm almost 100% sure that it constantly dribbles out regardless of where I have the IDC setpoint set at. As for the ECU wiring I'll have to pull the ECU back out.

I'm assuming that the switched power you guys are mentioning is pin#59 on the IX ECU according to the wiring diagram. So there are two RED wires coming from the FIA2 which are electrically the same. I have one spliced to pin@59 on the ECU and the other landed on Terminal 23 (+12v In). And the HSV red wire is spliced into the that same red wire on terminal #23.

Your doing things a little differently then they are described in the wiring diagram. While electrically I think what you are doing is the same, it may be contributing to the problem you are having.

ECU Pin 59 should be spliced with a wire feeding into the 3A fuse. Then coming out of the 3A fuse should be a wire that feeds the main power for the DDS3 board (pin 23)
The wire coming out of the fuse should also be spliced to ONE of the red wires on the FIA2.
The OTHER red wire on the FIA2 should connect to the red wire on the HSV. This is the only thing that this red wire on the HSV should be connected to.

It sounds similar to what you have done but is slightly different.

I would suggest you revise this as it may be the source of your problems.

If your Red led is pulsing when its at idel. Ground the blue wire from pin 25 on the DDS3 if it stops then the DDS3 needs rebuilt.

Okay so I pulled my ECU to see what was going on. The one thing I noticed that I did differently is the Ground wire from the FIA2 and the Ground wire landed on the terminal of the DDS3 are both spliced into the ground wire on the ECU which is pin#58 for the IX. I didn't do that. I landed them to a chassis ground point. Would this make some sort of difference?

I was hoping that you have an answer to Evan's question, it is vital to track down the problem.

As long as both ground is within a few tenth of volt it should be OK.

Can we have an answer soon? post #26

sorry for not responding to that question. I was tired last night and didn't read that correctly. I'm afraid it's bad. I ground the Blue wire just like VividRacing said and the blinking stopped and the HSV stopped clicking.
