siphoning issue
I have an issue where the methanol in my supply line being fed from the pump gets siphoned back to the tank when not in use after a day or so. This is a problem because the first 2-3 seconds the pump is pumping nothing is coming out of the injector but air so I need to prime the system before I can hit high boost.
That is the situation now here is the question. Does anyone sell a check valve that is compatible with methanol I can install right after the pump so my line stays primed? I have a solenoid up by the methanol injector to stop leakage into the engine but for some reason it likes to still drain back into the tank which I don't understand. If it comes down to it I can install another solenoid right after the pump but would rater have a mechanical fix instead of electrical as its less to worry about. Any ideas?

Devil's own makes a check-valve that would probably work in the situation you describe.

I have used one at the injector for over 4 years now.

The solenoid should stop the flow either way. Are you sure that the solenoid, and the ports (fittings) are working correctly? Unless you have the solenoid after a split for two nozzles, or a hole in the hose or solenoid, there should be no siphoning.

Thanks for the answers.
Turns out I had a slight leak around two of those stupid quick connect fittings the kits come with. I went to Lowes and replaced all the quick connect fittings in the system with brass compression fittings and problem is fixed. Why do companies insist on putting parts that they know are going to fail in products...those fittings are garbage.

At least you fixed it..I was thinking myself how could it drain back to the tank without having a leak somewhere
I was thinking maybe your pump doesn't self prime its self while crushing labonte pumps do this so the lines are primed up and the system stays pressurized . The companies do this so you can buy more parts from them.
My friend had a **** meth kit...lol..It had a aem controller, labonte pump and nozzle and the pump use to run on low speed to keep the system primed up..I think it was the combo of the labonte pump and aem controller..

That is just scary they can allow this to happen.
Dont mean to revive an old thread but just clearing something up, sometimes its not just the fitting but can also be the line thats worn out from moving around inside the clamping fingers, when the line moves around it wears it down and makes it loose. I see it all the time at work with air brake systems on tractors and trailers and our lines are like 10X thicker and stronger and but deal with 120psi constantly, most of the time I can just snip off the worn out end of the line and put it back in and it wont leak, but sometimes its the fitting, or both, or just install a compression fitting which always seals good but takes alot more time to connect/disconnect. But the cut on the line for the quick connect style makes a big difference
