don't plug in the power, or pour in water is the safest. That said, my car is running good without tuning, and I have used 12-50% methanol. in the mix.

It is dangerous depending on how much you are spraying. Tuning the car will maximizes the benefits offered. If you are not spraying that much you could be ok. If you are spraying alot you may dilute your oil due to too much fuel. Hydrolocking the motor would be a worse case senario. I would recommend getting a tartix cable and a wide band and tune it yourself in small steps. It might not be as powerful as a protune but you will save money and learn.

You will run extremely rich depending on your current tune, depending on injection kit and depending on how much meth you are spraying. I notice a drop in AFR's when I turn my meth kit on. It would be better for you to go and get a tune or learn how to tune it yourself. Do you currently have a tune right now? Are you still on stock turbo, what fuel pump and what other mods do you have?

Thank you guys for your answers!!!
I´m LanEvo IV, but I ave problems with my FB =)

The AFR in my Evo is 11.2 - 11.3. The methanol kit is AEM and I put the middle nozzle. That kit have 3 stage (nozzle) until 200 hp, 200 to 450 hp and 450 +...

My car is an Evo 4 (JDM), it´s has Evo 9 turbo,Evo 8 Ecu, turbo header,
donwpipe 3", external wastegate 38 mm Tiall, walbro 255, fuel pressure
regulator and air filter, injectors are 560 cc....

Camshaft is not install in my Car, only I want to know if I can put it in my car and not have problem without tune the ecu.

Before, I tune my car for my mods (email custom tune, because I´m from El Salvador and we don´t have tuners here), the new is methanol, front IC AMS and camshaft!

That is like taking steroid without conditioning and additional training. Not smart!

I'm willing to chime in after running methanol in my DSM for about a year without tuning it, don't, just don't unless you're experienced. A $200 tune could cost you a motor, I said could, not will

^^ I have been running it in my DSM for four years now. With an M7 nozzle at 150psi I only see maybe a 10% enrichment. I don't honestly see how enabling it without pulling fuel would actually hurt anything. If you have unusually high AITs it might actually help.

Have any of the people flaming the guy actually done this? Seriously, put in water, and a little nozzle, and you shouldn't have problems. Put in some methanol to keep it from freezing, and you shouldn't have problems.

I have done this just to measure the increased fuel flow from the injection and it's impact on AFR. The water/meth doesn't add any power, actually, at the same boost level you will probably make a little less power. The cooling properties of the water (as it vaporizes in in the chamber) helps with preignition and the methanol will cool the intake charge and provide some increase in octane. Without changing anything else (assuming you aren't already running really high AITs) you will just richen the mixture. The water/meth lets you run more timing/boost and leaner AFRs to make more power.
