water/meth injection

hey looking to purchase a water/meth injection kit. i know aquamist is the best but its just not in the budget right now. so i narrowed it down to three kits please if you could guide me in the right direction

coolingmist
snow performance
devils own

all cost about the same for a stage two kit with a 250psi pump and one gallon take. also what size injectors would you suggest for 300whp. thanks in advance.

Aquamist or nothing. Not worth risking your engine over saving a few bucks

If you can't afford it, put the money into different mods that will yield more gains on pump gas.

agreed, pay now or pay later. If the only high octane gas you have in your area is 90 or something (like I have here) consider running torco to bump it up.

all of the kits you named work and just because you buy one and use it doesn't mean your car is going to blow up. Just think of the extra cost of the aquamist kit as "insurance". If its not in the budget consider cruising the 'for sale' forums and waiting for a used one to pop up at a good price.

I have been running the snow stage 2 with safe injection for about 4 years and I have not had a single problem with it.

There are more practicle reasons why Aquamist employs an linline valve to control flow instead of altering pump speed to to change line pressure, hence flow rate.

Price wise, HFS-2 is around $499, incorporates a fast acting valve, can be configured to be progressive with idc, manifold pressure or both. Can be upgraded to HFS-3 (turbine flow sensor and dash gauge) for a more demanding application and a later date.

You will find the cost of the lower cost PPS (pump speed system) will not be far off the aquamist system when a failsafe kit and dash indicator is added.

Not having a reliability problem with a low cost system is not a good reason for choosing it. Look beyond, do you research on other more important aspects.

FIXT.

Using something other than your ECU to fuel your vehicle is taking your engine into your own hands. If you want to use WMI to reduce your AIT and EGTs, any WMI kit will do what you want, considering that you don't use too much nozzle that could possibly hydrolock your engine, and you are competent enough to wire it so that it can't come on until you have it programmed to.

If you want to use WMI to supplement your lack of fueling or lack of cooling, and will be depending on it to keep your engine alive, then consider how much your engine, or how much a similar replacement would cost. The differences in PPS and PWM-V is up to you. The snow or Devil's Own, with an AEM flow monitor and fail-safe should be as safe as the HFS series. You can set it to be as strict as you want, and it can activate a positive or negative to revert back to lower boost, or other fail-safe you have. Coolingmist with the CMGS or VC2 will be able to do the same thing. I can't speak on how accurate the CMGS flow failsafe is, nor can I on the HFS.

With all of this said, take a look at the kits, and consider the prices of each.

Devils' Own $375, Aem flow monitor $250 = $625 ish
Snow Stage 2 $423 + $250 = $673ish
Coolingmist with flow sensor $604
Coolingmist autolearn $649
Aquamist HFS-3 $699

If you are willing to go used, then it's a whole new ball game. The HFS stuff holds it's value, the rest can be had for cheap if you shop around. I am looking at putting together a system or two to sell from the extra parts that I have laying around because of the price difference between complete PPS kits and components.
