WOW!! That's amazing..sorry to hear about your interaction with him...he has never sad anything like that to me...

I called intense motorsports and they didnt have their own AWD dyno...they said they used dynocomps. Can you fill up with the good stuff or do you have to bring cans?

I would have moved to AZ, but no luck on finding a job. Still wish I could be there.

What I need to know is:

Where is the race gas at?

Who are the most respected tuning shops?

Where does the Evo crowd hang out at?

I will probably be down there April...looking forward to it!
race gas locations as of 12/7/04: www.azmustangs.com/racegas.htm
main locations are 44th st & chandler (ahwatukee), tatum & union hills, 35th ave & union hills which are all owned by same co & use trick 101 octane (this is what i'm told...)

tuning shops: Dynocomp (most accurate AWD dyno), Intense Motorsports (only 1 that has an evo), Vivid Racing

hang out: Scottsdale Pavillions (101 fwy & indian bend road) sat nights around 6-10pm

look fwd to meeting you. as you can see i have 2 evo's...

for the record Rich @ Dynocomp is a great guy however, i did put him in his place (he pushes APS for those who don't know). he tried pushing the APS CAI on me but i pointed out to him it will not work on the '05's due to the front diff fluid bottle location. His dyno is remarkable though & takes 5 min to setup a car.

I havent been tuned by rich yet...but I will say that he will be tuning my '05. My buddy just had his subie tuned up there and our experience with him was great. Yea he pushes APS products but who cares? From what I have seen he knows his stuff and I will take that anyday...just my .02.

If we can get about 10 guys together, we can have a dyno day and get a discount on the ECUtek when it is released...Dyno Comp is probably one of the best dyno tuners in AZ!! Anyone down?

Dyno-Comp gets my money every time, and I happily give it to them... They have always gone the extra mile for me, and they are all great guys. I just wish I had MORE money to spend!!

They are definitely the best, and they stand behind their work 100%.

Yeah, Rich does push APS products, but the guy is a businessman and he's trying to support that business. In terms of tuning, I don't know too many guys in AZ that can tune a car as good as he can. One time, Vivid Racing had hired a guy to tune a customer's STi and the guy had done a crappy job. Richard sat on his dyno for almost three hours fixing that kid's car without complaints. The guy is knowledgeable and knows his stuff.

Speaking of which, Dynocomp is an ECUTEK dealer and now that ECUTEK programs for the Evo, Rich is going to be getting the software in a few weeks. The minute he gets it, my car is going on his dyno to get tuned.
