flat bed is easy to steal anything. One day I forgot to turn my alarm ON because the CompuStar was acting weird that day, then I forgot I parked at an illegal spot. Car got towed and I was about to call Lo-Jack until I realized I can call the tow truck company listed under the car spot that I parked. They used a flat bed and took it away easy.

Somthing isn't adding up.. I come from ny/nj where about 45-sti's are stolen a day, on our tri-state forums someone will post everyday that their car is gone, not 1 05 has been stolen, and these guys are pros. Every car that is gone the people give the same description so it is the same few people, and some cars that were recovered had no signs of forced entrance.. But again not 1 05 stolen.. We are missing pieces of the story..
dude, r u serious?? i've never heard about sti/wrx getting stolen 45/day? that's f'ed up! which forums is this usually posted on? have u seen anything about evos? i wouldn't think that's a popular theft item in tri-state. i mean, it's not like there's demand for evo parts as opposed to civics/integras/accords etc. i live in So NJ, car theft isn't bad down here.
poor sti owner, i hope he can wipe his tears with a nice insurance check

That was supposed to be 4-5 not 45 but still alot! People have had their cars stolen, got it back, then restolen! Or got a new car and restolen! It is crazy in nj..

Never heard of an evo yet. It is posted on Nasioc int he tristate forums.. I just moved from Ny so i would see these cars stolen on a daily basis.. It is all from NNJ..

shiet, 4-5 is still too many when it's from a small area. restolen?! amazing! those turdsacs don't give up, do they...i'm guessing there's more demand for sti parts, since they can go into wrx or RS as well as wrx into RS, not quite the same with evo and base lancer. i bet it's around newark, irvington, elizabeth. i lived in elizabeth for 13 yrs and had my integra there for 3, never a prob, partially because i parked in a lit designated parking lot. but many tegs got stolen around there 'cause it's close to newark. i think some parts of central nj r also bad. like around new brunswick; i went to Rutgers U there. makes me glad i live in bumblefock now lol. what would be great to have is a remote/antitheft fuel tank detonator in case ur **** gets jacked, like in Mad Max. too bad u would be called a terrorist then

The evo is much harder to steal.. The wrx/sti has no window frames, and apparantly is very easy to steal..

What does Noob mean?

Wanna sell the gas lid? J/K

Too bad about the rip off. You'll have ro keep us informed if any of the parts show up.

This is what I have one of my vehicles:

http://www.enterceptor.net/

It works outside the security system of the car. At least it would call me and complain that it was being taken to the wrong side of town. Has its' own power source if the battery cables were cut.

Lojack is something that should come stock on every vehicle over $15K. If that STI had lojack it would of been recovered that same day most likely hrs after it was stolen. Cops could possibly find the car while the theives are stripping it down or unloading.

Oh well im sorry to hear about that it sure does make you feel like **** when something is taken from you.

still stupified about how they ganked it with factory ignition imoblizer..but again, if thier pros..nothing is going to stop them, nothing is 100% safe from theives, some are easier to steal than others, some are just less in demand for parts re-sale on the market

I don't know if I've seen anything more ignorant here than the actual theft itself. It was more likely stolen by an ignorant person who makes baseless remarks.

Let me tell you what a Mormon DID do to help the situation: John Browning invented the 1911 government model .45 that many of us use to protect our vehicles, belongings and loved-ones.
