This Is Bull**** !
well these boys got to make for the 5 mil they spent some how. that sucks for u guys with modded cars. might as well as to take off all those parts on ur car and put em up for sale on here. ill buy em for ya. heh heh. and people need to stop being racist on here. its one thing to make a comment like "driving while asian" but its another when u complain about how that is discriminating, then turn around calling other people white crackers. u guys are as closed minded as they are.
WOW....so if if have a modded import you are a drag racing menace to society???
It's unfortunate, but they will make way more than 5mil in impound fees and fines if this goes thru....

The concept, which originated in San Diego in 2001, has been spreading throughout the state and generated significant revenue for the California Highway Patrol and local departments. In Santa Fe Springs, for example, twelve officers on Drag-Net duty issued 300 citations and impounded 50 vehicles in just one weekend. Several cities have drag-racing ordinances that allow police to auction off seized cars and keep the profits.

Probable cause
This is all they need to pull you over
Apparently my evo with a boost gauge, turbo timer a UK evolution badge and a stock spoiler is all the police need to pull me over and treat me like a criminal. If this isn’t profiling then I'm Paul Walker.
It isn’t just modded imports, lowered trucks(import and domestic), domestic sport compacts (SRT-4, Cobalt SS and to a lesser extent SVT Focus) Rat Rods. All of these are targets under this new law. And these are just the obvious ones. Put a spoiler on your late 80s BMW ......poof now your a street racing potential gang banger. Got a mid 70s pinto with a calvin peeing on something sticker........poof again. It may start with the sport compact crowd but it will not end there. We are just currently the most visible target. If this law had come out in 1990 the Pro Street crowd would likely be the target
Under Drag-Net, San Diego officers come to train other departments how to look out for what they believe to be tell-tale signs of illegal modification such as window tinting, large spoilers, extra gauges or racing stickers. Police say this gives them probable cause to stop and inspect a vehicle and its engine compartment.
