Hi guys, since this is my backyard, a few tips. CHP here love to hide on the grassy banks between the freeway and the on-ramp. So when you're driving on the freeway and go underneath a bridge, look over your right shoulder to see if a CHP is waiting there. They usually have their radar guns on and my radar detectors Xa band always goes off.

If you're driving the 15 south from LA, radar dectors will always go off at the same points (X band). Just south of Weirick Road, just south of Indian Truck Trail, just south of the 15/215 merge near Temecula and then a 1/3 of a mile south from that at Winchester road. There are cell towers at most of those places and I think thats what sets them off.

Fallbrook is in San Diego County and Temecula is in Riverside county. You guys will probably be crossing county lines since Fallbrook is really close to the county line.

Most of the the cities in southwest Riverside county contract out to the Riverside Sheriffs. CHP also patrols off the main highway (15). This is because there are several highways out there that just look like roads.

Finally if you feel like gambling or going clubbing/bar then theres only one place to go in the area...

Be sure to dress up if you're going to the club b/c they don't allow in t-shirts/tennis shoes. The club is actually pretty nice from what I hear.

little more than a day to go to the start of the ITN Road Rally Season.

event runs "rain or shine". even if the weather is less than favorable the rally will be great, its amazing how empty the backroads gets when it rains a little it should be great tommorow.
