I have to agree with EVIL VIII in regards to Rich's tuning ability. He is one helluva tuner and knows a lot. He has done for me (when I had the STi) what Mynes has done for many of you guys and gals here. I am glad that Mynes has opened up. It's good for the community to have more tuners avail. I have been very loyal to DynoComp since my boosted S2K but after seeing (literally) what Jay can do I am going to see what he can do with the EVO in regards to ECUtek. I also like the fact that they have a few "shop evo's" to tinker with when times might be slow.

Like John said, "To each their own no need to start a shop war . We are very fortunate to have Jay, Rich and Clark at our disposal.

I paid roughly $900.00 for the software, certificate, baseline testing, some minor maintenance, and 2 hours on the dyno.

Not trying to take anything away from Myne's, heard nothing but good things about them, unlike some other "reputable" street shops in the valley.

And DYNO-COMP is THE distribution channel for ECUtek, so if they trust him, I would too!
Rich is a fabulous tuner IF YOU OWN A SUBARU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when he tunes evo's the AFR's are too lean 12:1-12.5:1. the real power for an evo is an AFR of 11.5:1. if they are so good at evo tuning, why don't they own any???

also being that he is a Renntech dealer, HE WILL overcharge you for the same tune you can get somewhere else & he's not the only ECUTEK dealer in AZ.

Just about everything in this quote is untrue. Rich is a fabulous tuner with a Subaru as well as the Evo. That’s probably why Subaru, 350Z/G35 and EVOs owners ship their cars from all over the country to be built and tuned at the shop.

I don't know where the 12.5:1 a/f came from unless it was put out to mislead. His target a/f has always been between 11.0:1 and 11.5:1 and anyone who says otherwise is misinformed. His prices for a flash is set buy ECUTeK.

And what does Renntech have to do with anything. That is a completely different side of the business. That’s just a dumb statement.

All you guys just need to stop... The best tuners are the engineers who wrote to software to run Subaru and Mitsubishi engines to make the power they are making stock, and plus pass EPA/US.GOVT emissions. My 0.02 cents.

Your claim that Rich is only a good Subaru tuner is completely rediculous bro! I guess ALL his clientel should feel that way then right? The Mercedes, BMW, Honda, Mitsubishi, VW, Audi, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari, Viper, Corvette, Zonda, and Range Rover customer should feel ripped off because he drives a Toyota Pre-runner..

below the belt...my bad...sorry for arguing like a special olympian on the int3rweb

OK, just a few things MY 9 made 285hp + 301tq

and i ran 12.82 @ 107mph last friday at firebird "WITH JUST A MYNES TUNE"

my car is completely stock otherwise.

I wont lie Mike's 1/4 mile rime is nice but, if i recall he said he spent around $5000
at Dynocomp on parts? and maybe tuning and at speedworld where we all know the track is faster ran a 12.66...hmmm i have only spent $700 on tuning at Mynes.

Im not trying to start a shop war here, i am simply calling out the facts.

If it's just a bump, then we already told you where to go.

If you don't want to listen, then go to Dynocomp so I can tell you "I told you so". I never get tired of telling people that. It's amazing how brainwashed people get when they go up there.

Here's another idea, pm 12monkeys on here and ask him about his experience. He started out at Dynocomp, then went to Vivid and guess where he is now.
