SC Mitsubishi MARCH MADNESS
18Bora there is no DMV BS at all if you paid cash for the car we will send you the MSO directly to your address but you have to remember that you have a lien holder on your car they have to get the necessary paperworks first.if you want you can complain on DMV why there are taking to long to process everything.
Mark, you are really making yourself look bad. Even though it may not be your fault (not saying i believe you) you are coming off as you're arguing with your customer. Though i'm sure you believe the chances of him being a returning customer is slim and that's why instead of making apologies, you're getting defensive, you shouldn't do it over a public fourm. Yeah you might be defending yourself cause you don't want him to make you look bad, but from my view point you are now doing a good job at that yourself. This is starting to sound like a typical sales job. I really was considering buying a car from you but after reading some stuff off of other Evo forums and now here, I'm too leary now to fly 1000 miles just to get jerked around.

1. sales contract, (from the dealer) I'm still waiting on
2. MSO from the DMV, it takes 3-4 weeks (at lest if not more) from the time the dealer sends it to the DMV.

I was planning on doing the same processes when I buy mine. Maybe I should start today so I can drive it when the snows gone. lol
I'm not sure what Mark could have done differently to speed up the DMV process. It really sounds like it's the state/DMV you're getting screwed by. I can understand how these kinds of surprises would **** you off though.
Regardless, thanks for the info and good luck.
Wow, there is always gonig to be someone complaining on a good thing.
Why would he say sry if its not his fault. He can apoligies because dmv took to long, but why is he going to apologies for some other company that has nothing to do with him.
Thats like when people get mad at me on ebay because they havent recieved their package yet. What do they want me to do when I sent it already, do they want me to call ups and tell them to hurry up, because this guy is complaining about his package.
They complain even though I have 100% positive,
THats like this guy complaing to evo4all even though everyone else is happy with the service, but this guy had to change up the process on how to recieve the papers. ANd now he is mad that shippnig is taking to long. After the package leaves the sellers hands there is nothing more he can do.
1+ for South Coast
for the deals keep them coming, I am getting my evo from you guys this APRIL!!!

Even if it is another company's fault, he should be trying to remedy the situation. If I spend $31k (which is a damned great deal!) on a car that is essentially paper until it is in my hands, I want the guy who sold it to me to be holding my hand the whole way through telling me everything is going to be ok.
And when people get mad at you for their packages not getting there on time, you shouldn't say "what do you want me to do, it isn't my fault." You should say something like, and this could be a prewritten response, "yeah, sorry about that, I did send it on this date, here is the tracking number....sometimes ups/fedex messes things up. Let me know when it gets there." The second response makes the customer feel assured that the situation is being handled properly.

Mark (Evolution 4 All) -
I am very interested in purchasing an Evo from you. I need some information first especially seeing some of the issues that can arrise from buying out of state.
I am a Michigan resident. I am in the process of being pre-approved for a loan through e-loan. I would like to have the car shipped from California here to Michigan. If you could please outline the the steps you and I will need to take (title, documentation, shipping, etc)in the chronological order they should be taken that would go a long way to convincing me that SouthCoast Mitsubishi is the dealership I want to deal with. If you lay it out in an organized manner, including estimated time for each step, you might actually want to add this your first post so everyone feels more comfortable with the steps necessary for buying from you out of state.
Thanks in advance,
UncleXSO

Just a Thought:
Since I am also very interested in this deal and I live in Chicago, I would like to know some things. However you have to believe that Mark is fielding a ton of messages with the same questions being asked. I think, if Mark has time that is, maybe putting together a FAQ on what to expect, making it a sticky of course. This way it is right there for all to see and the only questions we will have hopefully is where do I sign and when will it arrive.
Some things to cover would be for Out of State Buyers looking to either Pick it up and drive it back or those that want it delivered. Questions like Taxes, fees, etc.
Another question that comes to mind is CA Vehicle emissions standards? What effect does this have on these cars since we are from out of state if any?
It might be alot of work up front but it could ease a lot of headaches and concerns.
All in all those are some ridiculous deals...
Thanks

i agree with UNCLEXSO and HUGGEE. i'm in the market for purchasing the evo right now. If southcoast would clarify the process involved for out of states and the actual wait time, then i would consider purchasing an evo from you guys. More importantly, if everything will work out for 18bora, that will give us all a reassurance.
