How come there are no So Cal Tuning Shop Vendor Forums?
I'm just wondering why shops like Tuning Technologies, GT Motorsports, Harman Motive, Road Race Engineering, or even RNR Racing do not have Vendor forums? It would be great in my opinion if these Vendors were much more active in the EVO community. They all offer flashes, except for Tuning Technologies (which are planning to come out with a flash for the VIII and IX within the next two months) but a lot of EVO owners in the So Cal area wouldn't even really know about these places. I mean for an area that perhaps has the largest concentration of EVOs in the country, we are very under-represented. Just my gripes
I agree. I think the reason is that RRE/RRC goes by word of mouth and that saves them a) money, and b) time. They don't have to answer a million little questions before selling a drop in air filter.
I know Tuning Tech is thinking about it but they are so busy, they can barely handle the business they already have. Also, Tuning Technologies IS an official vendor on SoCalEvo and they get tons of business through that site.

Harman Motive does offer a flash, I believe it is either $700 or $750 for a IX and $350 or $400 for VIII and this includes the custom dyno tune, very good price in my opinion. GT Motorsports, also offers a flash, it is a little more pricey, around $1,000 for a IX, not sure on price on VIII. GT Motorsports is not known as well as the others, they are located in Rancho Cucamonga (spell check) but they have built the fastest and quickest EVO on the West from what I know.

I live in Las Vegas and drove down to Harmon Motive and had them install a turbo, exhaust manifold, 02 housing, LICP, and injectors, and Dan did a custom flash on the dyno,
The custom flash was $500.00
you guys are crazy to send your ecu's to dyno flash when you have a dyno and flash right in your back yard.

well i wish tuning tech or rre flashed otherwise i would use them but rre suggests afc or standalone i dont need a standalone and i would rather have a base flash or something plus an afc, harmon mainly does scoobies i know they do eveo work too but dont know how well their evo work is. im thinking of waiting til ecu+ supports the ix then ill let tuning tech do it
edit: anyone know anything about technosquare?

I agree Tuning Tech in my opinion is the best shop in So Cal for EVOs, but no flash option as of yet, I do plan on going with a custom flash from them when it becomes available.

The point is though that there are some good shops in So Cal that nobody knows about, I wish this wasn't so, I also wish members here could have a section or forum to discuss info about these places, such as dyno and tuning, installs, prices, and etc.

just give it time...fortunately or unfortunately the majority of these shops are too busy to be posting up on here. but that is what i've always felt these regional subforums were for...create a thread for the experiences you've had with shops and that'll promote them.
