I got pulled over this morning on my way into work (in Gilbert) because I was going 10 over. He was using radar and hit me when I was about 100 yards away.
I had my lisc, reg and ins ready for him when he came up to the car. When he asked if I knew why he pulled me over I said "yes, I was going 45 in a 30" and he corrected me saying "close, you were going 40 in the 30" and he then took my info back to his car and I waited only 30 seconds and he gave me back my info.

Here's the kicker....

He asked "is your cat still on this car" and I replied "yes" and his reply was "I am going to look and if it's not there you are looking at one helluva fine...."10 seconds later"please slow down Mr. Rout and have a great weekend."

He walked away before I could ask anything.



Cliff notes- got pulled over speeding but the officer wanted to see if my cat was in.

 

Weird. So I just have to ask: IS your cat still on there? Or did the cop not know what he was looking at?

I DO have the cat. I have the Greddy Ti cat back exhaust. He had a very bright flash light and it appeared he was shining it in the correct direction. Like I said earlier, he was only at his car for 30 seconds and came back to my car and gave me everything back.

It seemed as though he has been waiting for me but today was the second time I drove the EVO to work this week. Maybe my honesty is what kept me from getting the ticket or the fact the baby seat was in the back seat. I am just glad I didn't get a speeding ticket.
