CA Smog testing... Should I freak?

You speak the truth there, at least the first part. I have never had any problems being profiled but am 43 years old.

As much as I detest the smog check it is a good thing. Get behind a non pollution controlled vehicle and I think you will have to agree.

I maybe attending law school in the Los Angeles area soon. As a student, I believe I can keep my Massachusetts registration as long as I do not register myself as a California resident at school and do not rent.

So, assuming that I still have Massachusetts plates. Can I still get "ref tickets" when I get pulled over?

There is just no way my car will pass smog. I guess if I have to switch to CA plates, it's bye-bye to the Evo for me.
