SF Bay area: authorities on mods, etc.
SF Bay area: authorities on mods, etc.
Hi,
Am a new Evo owner in the San Francisco Bay area. Those of you who
run mods such as aftermarket exhaust and who don't use a front license
plate, do you get pulled over and hassled by the authorities? Thanks!

i live in teh east bay, and havent runa front plate or a cat for the last 6 years. 3 in my evo and 3yrs in my m3. Ive got 1 fixit ticket total. As long as your careful and pay attention for cops, youll be fine. But if you are careless then youll get into fix it ticket trouble.
Basically, if you want to avoid unnecesary hassle from the cops, then run a fornt license plate. It really depends from person to person, each of us have different experiences and will tell you different things.
If you don't want to run a front plate or cat or other mods, just remember that you gotta pay to play. Once you want to mod the car, be prepare to get pulled over and stuff.

+1
You take your chances when you run without your front plate on. Its a personal preference. I was lucky and never got sited for a front plate. Been running without one for 13 years.. 10 years with a Corolla. 3 with the Evo.
