I was driving back from lunch in Poway, California and to my surprise I see a white EVO X on the other side of the road... I couldn't believe it, me and my friends wanted to turn around catch it and take a picture with my camera phone, however I was already running late... Oh well, I can wait until they come out just wondering if anyone else saw it?

I bet Mitsubishi corporate was taking to the San Diego dealers and letting them check it out... I used to sell cars, and when the new S2000 came out they did the same thing, I saw it 6 months before it was in production etc.

 

Lucky, dude if that was for real. Hope you're right and it was the X. Maybe it'll be out in the fall. Its like a Lock Ness sighting.

They HAVE displayed the new prototype in Chicago and at M.O.D. - But, they don't cruise them around S.D.

I know cars like the back of my hand, I saw the Front Mount Intercooler, large wing and fender flares... I was about a block away from Poway Mitsubishi too...

I'm telling you when I used to sell cars, they brought out the s2000, no coverage 6 months before it hit the road... I should have turned around chased it down and took pictures of it with my camera phone, and then there would be no doubt in anyone's mind...

Unless, someone took a new lancer fabricated all the parts and put a wing and FMI on it... Don't think so.

 

Makes sense. Even if they weren't at the dealership, they could have been testing it and Mitsu seems like they're going to keep tweaking it until it comes out.

i was just at el cajon mitsu and saw some new lancer in lot but no evo, im going back in their at 9am for scheduled matinence, so ill check again for one. should. ill ask them when their comming in and if i see one ill snap an image with my cam phone

 

i dont think u saw a evo x, what u saw was likely a 08 lancer gts and not the x. el cajon mitsu had lots of those in their dealership along with the other trim models and they had no x's on their lot at all. i saw a few IX's still their

 

Since I work for the car industry, I can tell you, you can see any prototype on the road. I currently work for Infiniti and the regional manager drove a G37 a month before any dealer got one. Good find, try to take some pictures next time.

 

thats what i think, thats why i'm not a fan of the the X its too similiar.
