Tucson, AZ
Noticed a little talk about the forum being a little dead too, despite there being several Evo owners in Tucson. So I'd like to do something about it. I'm currently deployed to Jordan (where I've seen everything from Evo5s to 8s) and will be back in town early February. Afterwards I'll be out and about attempting to get some contact info from folks and then throw a meet up together in March when it starts to get a little warmer (although Evos like cold weather I don't). Let me know what you guys think. Holla.
i wouldn't do it.. my car has dings all along the side from douchebag students/tucson residents who don't give a rats *** about other people's property...plus the roads suck and its basically trying to avoid gigantic pot holes..

It took me a full year to adjust to life in Tucson. Now, after 13 years I can't imagine living anywhere else. The desert is a very unique place. And it's also a very beautiful place. It does take some getting used to.
Here are a few nice pics.
nice pictures..
no offense but I hate Tucson. I hate the road infrastructure.. i really do.. there are no cross-town hwys, and construction takes ages.... e.i. widening of grant rd.
I cannot wait to leave tucson... 3 more months...

^^ WOW, 2.5 years later and it looks like you are absolutely eager to leave Tucson. I been stationed here since 2002 and yes I concur with you that the roads are absolutely thrid world class. There is no a single piece of road on this city that doesn't have a gash/gap/whole/pothole of a few inches.
You are correct one more time, this twon has zero infrastructure. You can not cross from one side of the town to the other side of the town unless is from traffic light to traffic light and the speed? ohh boy, city speed is 35-40mph for most of the town.
So many speeding cameras and still no money for repairing /resurfacing the aging 1900 century roads

Pothole. Schomothole. Just think of the potholes as naturally occuring speed bumps.
I agree it is slow to get across town in Tucson. But, I've got a solution for that. I seldom go across town; problem solved.
And bring back the Grant Rd suicide lane.

In Tucson on Grant Rd...on certain hrs..they used to allow taffic to use the turning lanes as a third lane going East bound at night 5-7pm...and then it would switch in the morning going East bound 7-9am toward downtown . They got rid of it awhile back. Correct me if I'm wrong..
