FS: Monster Sport CF Trunk Cheap, but damaged
FS: Monster Sport CF Trunk Cheap, but damaged
I have a monster sport CF Trunk sitting in my basement and want to get rid of it. There is a long story behind what happened to it, but basically, it got slightly damaged from shipping and FedEx did not honor their insurance policy. Then FedEX returned it to the wrong address, it went missing for a few months and got damaged even more. They still refused to reimburse me. It finally got back to me.
I have the worse luck with these shipping companies.
Another problem is that the guy who sold it to me claimed that it was a Monster Sport CF trunk and it does have the badge, but it doesn't have any serial numbers or anything like that. He is lame and would not repsond to any of my PM's. Anyways, I did my own investigation and found out that it is a Monster Sport CF trunk that was supposedly originally purchased from the Sparco Evo, which came from Vivid Racing not entirely sure about the Vivid Racing part, but thats what I read.
The trunk fit perfectly before it was damaged, so it should still fit pretty good. The only major damage that was done to it was the top corners got soft and has a shattered look to it. Its still intact and has not broken off of the trunk. The rest of the damage is minor and only consists of spider webbing in the clear coat.
I guess the best way to show this is in pics. PM me an email and I will send pics promptly.
Originally, I was going to get this repaired and keep it, but never had a chance to do it. I contacted a body shop and they said that it was repairable, but the CF look on the top corners would be fiberglassed over and would probably need to be painted. So basically, I was going to repair it and paint it.
Its still a good option if someone wants a lightweight trunk and you can do some kind of custom paint scheme with it.
I am not sure how much this is worth, but I will start at $200 OBO. Any offer will be considered, but remember, this is still Carbon Fiber and not some cheap fiberglass part. No shipping please. Pick up in either Vegas or Socal only.
