and saw 3 silver Evos with different wings--C.F. wing, OZ wing (mine), and no wing at all. I think they may have had some cars racing on the inside track. I did not see any of the other Silver Evos racing on the strip. There were a ton of Beemers with numbers driving by the far side of the dragstrip along with the Silver evos.

 

I was there about 2 weeks ago with my crew. I was the only Evo there and I was running horribly. It was kind of embarassing, but then again it was my first time so I don't mind. Anyways, I think we are all going again sometime before the Summer schedule is over. I'll PM you when we go.

 

I was the one with no wing attending the BMW driving school and got a ride in one of the instructors twin turbo 996, we even passed a silver evo with big wing on the track. The guy truly was a pro and I noticed even with a lesser car he would kick ***, I am planning to attend the classes on a regular basis, also realized that 80% of the people have no clue how to drive a car to its limits, if anyone gets a chance attend a few classes, it is well worth the money. (by the way eventhough it was a BMW school I saw every kind of car there, including EVO's, WRX's, and lots more.)

Trev0006: I saw you stepping our of your wingless evo. I was going to talk to you but I had to return my rental helmet. How did you get your wing off the trunk? did you have a body shop to patch the holes? Wingless looks pretty sweet!!!

Darkside: think the class is about 500 something for two days...

I rode with another instructor with a M3 SMG, impressed with their amazing skills....

There is also another CF sliver who raced.

 

Hey the So Cal Lancer Club was at the drag strip on the 23rd and saw a silver evo with small wing going to the BMW event. We were there for the drags.

 

no wonder i saw buncha lancers at the drags... sorry i miss you guys. i should have checked the SCLC thread more often :P

 

Cali_EVO: I took off the wing at a bodyshop and sold the wing, oh and the classes are $400 for two days.

 

The times were pretty slow at the drag strip. I was able to run a 13.71 @100.28 mph--I was happy to run that. Next time I want to try 100 octane fuel and maybe a new bypass valve--I think mine is leaking--I can't hold consistent boost with my MBC. By the way--the car looks sweet with or without the wing
