Spotted in SSF: Blue Evo 8 w/Lancer wing

Anyone know a Blue Evo w/the lower profile, non-conspicuous Lancer wing instead of the bigger CF Evo one. Is that an option to do? Or did they buy that one or trade with someone?

Anyway, hello.

That's the stock Evo spoiler. The CF big spoiler is an option, albeit a common one.

Seein an EVO with a small wing is like seeing a Supra with no wing. It just looks funny.

Actually I have a Blue Evo with a low wing also. The CF wing actually IS an option, even though most people don't get it that way. I have probably only seen 1 other low wing on the road besides myself. Definetely rare to see

I also have a smaller wing. I was wondering if it is a later production. Because mine has a build date of May 2003--and I haven't received a recall notice yet. I wonder if they already corrected the leaking problem for the recall. I do notice some type of sealer along the underside of my car on the sides.

ALSO IMO I prefer the small wing on the car for my daily driver because it doesn't stand out as much. I got ripped on enough with my b16a del sol and my super wing. You get badged as boy racer. Actually there is a silver one in the area with no wing and it looks tight as hell.

Quick - I agree with you. The whole reason I didn't get the CF wing was because everywhere I looked Civic's, Probe GT's and a bunch of other cars had the same looking wing as the Evo. Don't get me wrong I love the wing, but when someone who doesn't know what the Evo is sees that wing, they think you are just a kid. Atleast that is what my family thought when I should them one with a CF wing and the low wing. Also its easier to see out of the back window too.
