I read that earlier. I can't believe the low numbers coming out of that turbo. I'd be pissed if I had that setup and put down those kind of numbers.

Why not the 05 10.5 hotside? Or better yet max out the potential of the stock turbo now and then worry about the turbo swap.

Justin it was quite hot today but the preliminary results are less than spectacular.
For reference an 03 with the stock turbo put down 350 whp wth alky on 91 and than put down 362 with 100 oct and alky. this was with a cat and the White Hype had 280s and no cat. Too early to really tell if it is better than the TME or Evo 9 turbo but I heard that it spools really hard and fast but like most stockish turbos it runs out of breath up top.

It is too hot and the car is pullin timing back to protect the motor. Very common in heated areas that also have to deal with elevation.

Yeah i am surprised John didn't buy this worthless turbo. He is known to invest in worthless things.

i thought about that. but my plan was to buy basically all the stuff u, jesse, corey, and joe have. but i wanted to add the turbo to the mix and get it tuned all together. i want the most out of a stockish turbo. the numbers u guys put down is basically what i want on my car. except in was hoping for at least 375 on 91 but 350 would be coo. true the 10.5 hotside would mostly likely get me my goal. but the thought of the evo IX or 6.5 TME quicker responding turbo excites me more. especially the IX turbo, since the new compressor housing is supposed to help it spool at about 2500rpm

Justin 375 whp is big turbo 91 oct number. Smoggy's car with the 10.5 hotside did 345 on 94 oct on 91 map and 370ish with race map on c-16. He did run 12.2s on the 91 oct map and 11.9 at 115 mph on the race map. My car was likely at 380 whp on pure 91 oct but on 94 it was in the low 400s. 91 octane suks.
