Yeah, its not that bad here. Just cold, rainy, and muddy. We dont live in tents, we live in trailers. Two to a room for E-5 and above, and 4 to a room for E-4 and below. The rooms are nice. Beds, closets and a couple of nightstands per person. The whole base uses 15 foot concrete barriers around all the shelters and facilities along with sandbagged walls 4 feet high on average. We drove around the perimeter and saw Iraqis just hanging about right on the edge of the fence herding sheep and cows. I'm so grateful for having Army and Marines stationed here. My wife ended up being deployed to Qatar, so we are both in the AOR. She is just in a much safer place about 3 and a half to 4 hour plane flight away.
