let's just say that he was very clear on how he felt about us and this place in general. also, was was not banned for good, he was put in time out for 10 days...

yes as a matter of fact i do. which is a shame because i am sure that people do not have to act like kids. however, if they do choose to act like children than we have no choice but to act like nannies. and as you know, sometimes a nanny has to ground, send the kid to his room and even occusionaly spank....

 

Fran the only reason you think people act like kids is because they break your guy's preschool rules

 

this issue is not about the rules themselves. they have been set by the owner with the agreement of the entire staff. you are coming into his house to play and if you caan't play by his rules, don't come again or just start playing by the rules.. i love the Fran comment btw

I personally dont have a problem with any mods except one (Timez the one I called a moron and got banned for it). I peronsally feel he abuses his power and thinks he is the almighty God. He is the one that banned VegasBoy without warning for posting the vid, yet other vids have been posted in forums that he mods that stay up for days if not all time. He has something against the Vegas guys, and since thats the case he just keeps building a bad rep with us. If you other threads we have always been nice to other mods, and have even gotten in debates with them (like this one) where there was no name calling or problems.

I'm not sure if you drive a evo or lancer ... but I also have a HUGE problem with mods that dont own or dont plan on buying the cars they moderate on the foums. Reason being is it skews there perception of whats important content and whats not (no offense if you dont own a evo or lancer)

 

Maybe the admins can start a lil cartoon section where we can go and talk about what good shows they have on the disney channel and the cartoon network

 

i don't own an evo or even a mitsu for the matter but i really fail to see how this has to do with how i moderate. you do not need to own a certain car to understand that name calling is not accepted, to understand what an off topic comment is and whether or not an issue is rellevnt. if you notice, we normally don't moderate any info, we moderate the people that post it. also, i will bet that the mods know quite a bit about the cars even if they don't own them simply for the fact that we read alost every single thread on this forum. i don't own an evo but i can tell you what parts work, what certain problems means, how to drag race, what body kits are out there, what regional events are held in different parts of the country, who has the fastest evo, what turbo kit is the best for the lancer, what people want to see in this site, who scammed who in a for sale thread, which vendors have a problem with one another, what new gear is out there for photography, what new game is coming out for the PS2, what Hobbie had for lunch, whats the newest VBOY photoshoot was and a bunch of other random questions and tidbits...

I disagree. As the Admin of ClubG35.com and Club350.com (both sites are gone now due to my hosting company deleting them) ... I have found that owners of the car take more pride in the actual content and moderate people more fairly. Its just like a cop ... if a cop owns a evo he is going to be a lot more fair with the evo owner that he pulls over then if he is a camaro owner. The biase that people have from owning different cars, although may not seem relevent, are acutally quite important.

I bet you $100 if you owned the car you would moderate differently.

i am sorry but this is just redicuolus. i think that the moderators take way more pride in theevo and this site than 90% of the evo owners out there. how else would you explain the fact that we all put so much time and effort into this site without getting paid and without gaining anything in return? i also beleive that we are all car lovers and i really don't care what car you drive as long as you like it and like the entire car scene. i am also a member of nasioc, legacygt, mazda forums and a few other forums and i have seen my fair share of bad moderators even when they do own the car. do you honestly beleive that i will treat you a certain way because you own an evo and i don't? how about you ask members of this site what they think of my moderating style and see if there is any relation to thecar i drive.. if anything we are less biased because we don't suffer from blind worship to our own car. for example, so many evo owners thinks that they are so much better than the regular lancer guys because they own the evo; we don't have that problem. i don't care if you drive an evo, srt-4 or even a moped, i go by set rules without even putting the car into the equation.

lastly, i will take that $100 bet if you don't mind.. i know for a fact that this is not true
