You get the same if you search for "Utah Evo" or "Utah Evos." I don't drive a Utah EvoM... I drive a Utah Evo. I honestly don't even like EvoM. #1 I don't want somebody else's name on my car, especially some commercialized forum I really don't support #2 I don't want to get into legal trouble for using their name without permission.

 

Well are you trying to tell everyone what your driving? Or let them know what your a part of?

 

There is no such thing as "Utah EvoM" anyway. This forum hasn't even given you guys your own chapter...

Plus... your average person who has never been on EvoM before will read that as "evom" and be like "WTF is an evom!?"

Of course the people who dont know will think wtf, same with the people that thing we drive riced out lancers. The people who are curious would look it up.

I've been posting on this forum since 2006 and other ppl before me...so yes it does mean something to me and others and anyone not smart enough to figure it out well too bad haha they could always ask too...it's abbreviation for evolutionm just like how everyones always said evo short for evolution.....that right there isn't rocket science

Agreed, minus the legal trouble, EvoM is not going to care It's like free advertising, what company would whine about that? You do get close, but because of the Evo's in Utah, rather than just Utah Evos it isn't the first hit if you type it in that order... I can pm a mod and see if they can change the thread title, if we want.

They didn't even put us in the right section forever Hahaha, but they don't give own chapters to anyone, as far as I can tell. But yes evom, even with a red m may not make sense to most people, and yeah, kinda what Juan said, who cares... But... still

As a side note, I found the utahmazdas.com site, and even the picture of the MS3 I saw with the "Utah Mazda" sticker on it. Just a bit of google searching, and then searching in the forums.

What we need is a Utah Evo, or Utah Car Enthusiast, or something else forum... And no TJ, your's doesn't count. Just like you don't want to rep EvoM, I refuse to EVER rep Mitsubishi... Until they pay me 8 grand, for my motor.

I've been on here/posting since '04. And it means something to me too. But something about evomUTAH or UTAHevom just looks ugly to me. I think more editing is needed.

And on TJ's someone should try messing with the EVO font a little bit, it feels a little too large to me... or something.

 

Well you'd be surprised because they would probably insist on the name being used in its entirety or an "official logo" being used. They're owned by a larger parent forum network and that's why it bugs me.

I don't like Mitsubishi either, but I do like the uniqueness of many of the projects I've been involved in, hence why I started a Mitsubishi site. I get where you're coming from, of course
