breaking the law again....

Ok guys, smog test time WOOT. So i got evo x, no cat and running cobb stage 2. If i flash back to stage 1 or stock, can I pass smog? or do i need to reinstall the cat. Do they do a sniffer test out here? and is there anything else i need to look out for? and for any of you guys running e85, does that make it harder to pass or same ****? ...not runnig e85 yet

As long as you don't have any codes (SES light) you should be ok for smog. Some places do a visual test, but most don't. On the newer cars they just plug in the OBD2 connector and call it good.

however, all of your emissions monitors MUST be through their complete cycles. Do the X's respond like the 8's and 9's to the spark plug anti-fouler method of spacing out the cat's o2 sensor? If yes, then make sure you do that mod to your test pipe and get the car through all the drive cycles if not already done.

No need to reflash...Never did emissions with e-85, but there should be no reason for the local smog hut to be sniffing...

good luck!
