I've gotta repair/buy a blu ray drive for my 80gig ps3. I decided/**** it and bought a ps3 slim yesterday. So if someone wants to offer or whatever I can at least get a drive for my 80gig ps3 and maybe a kinect for my xbox lol

 

Why do you think that is the best setup?

the non-defect has an "M" logo spray painted on it. This logo is from one of their other intercoolers that has the in/outlets placed at the top instead of the bottom like evos. They sprayed it the right way - it was just the wrong intercoolers

now I'm just curious to see how well it performs... there's been some mixed reviews

 

okay let me know when you are driving through the O town area and maybe you can swing by my Dad's shop next to door to Adam's so I can check it out

I like the Half radiator with a Front Mounted Turbo Then maybe a water to air intercooler and you got a nice Drag car setup Well at least thats what I want.

With a vertical flow intercooler the icp is super short & better flow of course the smaller radiator next to it on passenger side. If you saw the world challenge evo you'd understand

 

What's the YLOD? And where did you get it fixed? I think mine is starting to have issues, the drive sounds like it is grinding when it starts up. It can still play everything just fine though as far as I can tell, and the grinding stops when I play any disc.

 

ylod is (yellow.light.of.death) or flashing red light means the same thing. Compare it to the old xbox 360's dying because of overheating failures. So they re-flux, clean everything up, new thermal paste. The board gets hot and the connections on the board come apart, video (rsx) or the processor or could be something else. There is pgr (precison gaming repair) knights gaming repair or videogamerepair and a handful off individuals too. I know a guy who does them as well

what they were polishing what I just sold both my 60gig ps3's so now I've got a 80gig ps3 that wont read disc and a 160gig new slim.

Jake btw get deus ex its bad *** I bought for 360 with it installed it loads the fastest and does 720p/1080i/1080p ....I don't get why the ps3 version only does 720p....anyone know why most all games go full resolution on 360 but not on ps3?

 

Takes time and resources to optimize for each processing architecture.
PS3 is getting a bad rap from the community right now over the network hack, and locking down their firmware and hardware.

And the JR Muffler recommendations, everyone. That is definitely where I will be taking the downpipe.

Is it enough to take the downpipe in and have them weld the bung six inches from the flange and specify that it needs to be parallel to the O2 Housing flange? Or should I test-mount it on my car and carefully mark the downpipe where the bung needs to be?

Yea ps has been letting me down pretty good past few months lol especially me having 2 ps3's break I originally spent $600+ each system.

While I'm thinking about it -Jake we should log in as you on my 80gig and deactivate it from my ps3 incase it breaks on me(currently working just not reading disc) you can only have it activated on 5 machines I don't want it locked on one of mine forever lol
