Dont mean to change the subject or anything but i was wondering if u guys could help me out.....

Ive been trying to tune my fuel map so it doesn't run so rich but every time i lean it out a little, it starts knocking... Any ideas as to y?

 

back the timing down a little, how much knock you getting?

 

My afr at wot in the 5k to 7k range is around low 10s and getting like 6 counts. I thought it was cuz it was too rich so i leaned it to about 11 and the knock count jumped to 12

 

how are you plugs?

 

How much timing are you trying to run?

As a rule of thumb, subtract 1* for every 3 counts of knock...

 

They aren't too old NGK BR8ES so not the greatest plugs either. I was thinking about changing them out since i got a cel on saturday when i was doing a few logs for random missfire

 

Im still on the stock timing map

 

I put some Brian Crower 280 cams a while back but haven't really had time to mess with the tune till now. That could have something to with it also im guessing

 

I use BR8ES as well, they're a good plug, just get a fresh set.

Pull your timing back & the knock should disappear..
