Who will tune aem ems in SoCal!

im trying to figure out who i should get to tune my AEM EMS in southern cali, some things im looking at are price, how long it will take, and knowledge of the aem ! i only know one place i could go but i think they are charging like 1300 for tunning and i thought that is insane its almost as much as the ems itself!!!

You should call aem & ask them where they did their dyno development at for creating maps first.

I havent read any published capabilities of the aem ecu for the evo, but I believe it will have it's own logging capabilities. For your a/f, there should be a base "Target" map & the ecu should be able to learn a fuel map for your car for starters.

I am looking foward to getting one of these units when I find some cash. Since aem is located in so. ca., I would think their base maps are tuned to 91 octane.

I believe Pann charges $150 an hour for EMS tuning.

Dynoflash is only good if you can have it tuned for your specific set up. I would love to try out the dynoflash, but I don't think Al is coming to So Cal anytime soon.

XS-Engineering does have an AWD dyno, but I'm not sure if they'll work on the EMS.
Also, Easy Street (Subaru tuner) might be able to help you as well.

I wouldn't go anywhere else but RoadRace Engineering, since it's their car that the AEM EMS maps were made off of and they are the first ones who ever had it. They know the thing inside out. Call Mike and tell him Rob from SoCalEvo sent you.

We are so limited here in south cali with a lot of things for the evo , i would also love the get the dynoflash .
Aems is worth it IMO if you have run out of bolt ons and are ready to make some power with cams or upgrading the stock Turbo ..

You deffinitely need a solid tuner if you plan on installing an AEM EMS. The base maps are good for getting your car to start, and that's about it. Then again that's really all they were meant to do. I absolutely recommend Roshan @ Brainstorm. They don't get any better, OR SAFER, than he. There are a lot of tuners out there that will give you huge numbers with an EMS, but there's only one that will ive you huge numbers (and in most cases even bigger numbers), and you won't blow your engine. Go see Roshan!
