Hey all,

Does anyone here happen to know where in the SF Bay Area I might be able to get brake pads for my Evo IX MR (without going to the dealer) over the weekend (i.e. without ordering online)? Are there any good stores that would sell the right fitments open on Saturdays?? Hawk, EBC, Brembo, etc - the car spends 99% of the time on the street, so very little track usage (I've only been to the track in the Evo once this year!), so I don't need racing/heavy track pads.

ah, I just ended up getting the Brembo pads from Capitol Mitsubishi (needed them today)...

$257.42 for fronts
$259.00 for rears

They include shims and paste. Funnily enough, when I called San Leandro Mitsubishi they were trying to sell me the shims separately ($48 for front and $12 for rear!!). The guy obviously didn't know they came pre-bonded to the pads...

Correction - after installing them today, they do NOT include the shims - just some kind of backing that looked like shims. I reused the old ones (they were in good condition). I'll probably replace them at the next brake service.
