lake tahoe
going to lake tahoe this holidays with kids(family). which would be a recommended hotel/stay? is south lake tahoe where the hubbub is? the northlake is also good? which hotels? i'm booked at the marriott timber lodge. anyplace better? e.g. condos? etc?

most places have rental. You will be in shot of Heavenly, Squwa, and Mt. Rose. South Lake is the the Place. Ever see Smoke & Aces? South Lake. You will get The Ca. side and the NV. side. If you can stay on the NV side no crappy hotel/visitor tax that CA. has.
