FS (Bay Area): JIC FLTA2 coilovers

JIC FLTA2 Coilovers for sale. Includes front camber plates and rear pillow ball upper mounts. Allegedly the actual units one of the Showcase Mitsubishi Evos that Andy Lieber and John Tak won Nationals with back in the day. These have much higher spring rates than they originally came with, probably 700F/800R, and have probably been re-valved accordingly. Most suitable for 285/30/18 r-comps per SCCA Street Mod standard, although they can certainly be used with other setups. I bought these from another member here who did very well locally in SCCA STU class on the usual 245 street tires, and they served me well for the same purpose for a season.
This is an ideal setup for someone who wants a locally competitive Street Mod suspension on a budget. Basically, if you want to be able dial in your ride height, achieve more than the pitiful amount of negative camber your limited by the stock lower eccentric bolts, want to be able to corner balance the car, want to get rid of some understeer, want an adjustable damper, without breaking the bank and save $ for things like tires, wheels, pads, power, and event fees, this is the suspension for you.
I daily drove on these for about a year and a half, so it's definitely possible, but I won't lie and say they are comfortable on the street to the average driver. For what it's worth, I didn't find them too excruciating unless the pavement was really horrible anyway, and I am STILL running very similar spring rates on my new coilovers on the street almost daily.
They could probably use a rebuild, but I didn't notice any problems with them at all, so you could go ahead and use them as is. Again, I think it would be worthwhile to have them rebuilt, especially because you can have them tailored to your needs at the same time (something I would do with ANY suspension, including my new one before I even tried it out of the box.) I know Mueller used to rebuild these frequently, but I have not looked into it in quite awhile, so i can't provide any detailed info about pricing etc. and this is up to you to find out.
Only $350 picked up, or $450 shipped due to size and weight. Willing to meet serious buyers within a reasonable distance within the Bay Area.
