MY Mitsu has 2004?

i just got off the phone w/ MY Mitsu in salinas, CA, and the sales rep, John Guru, told me that they have 3 2004 & 2 2003 EVOs in stock, and that as far as he can tell, there are no differences between the two model years... i'm very skeptical of this John Guru guy... what do you guys think?

There are no differences between 2003 and 2004, but mid to late 2005, the EVO IX will make its debut with a radical different look, somewhat similar to the new lancers except wider and more aggressive looking.
I got that info from an inside source from Japan. Shhhhhh!

For the couple of weeks I am trying to get 04 evo.
From talking to dealers even today they do not have 04 yet.
They may not have them for a couple of months -they say.
I do not know what mitsu is thinking, but is is about time to drive 04 car in 2004.
I even contacted mitsu- still no info.
The guy must be full of it.

its not a radical change, the new split grill ala pontiac/bmw look is with mitsubishi for awhile. it will have more flared fenders and different paint schemes, thats all.

also the evolution will evolve along different lines here in the US, so the japanese version will not resemble the US version. that comment was in motor trend a couple of months ago

MY Mitsu in Salinas is the exact dealership i'm talkin about in this thread... they may give good deals on 2003 EVOs, but i don't like that their sales rep is telling me that they have 2004 EVOs when there's a good chance that the 2004s aren't even out yet... unless my skepticism is misplaced, and they really have three 2004s sitting on their lot??? hmm...

the only change is optional leather recaro front seats only and an 8 speaker 315watt infinity sound system.

There are no 2004's yet that I am aware of. the cars may have been delivered to the lot in the year of 2004....but that doesn't make em 2004 models.

I bought my EVO at MY Mitsubishi in Salinas and I have to say that they were great to deal with.

I was in and out in 1.5hrs including the test drive and good discount too.

the 04' evo is the same as the 03' . however there mits has three versions of the evo the GSR , RS , and the Urban Assult RS . They are only making 500 RS's for sale in the US . The RS has no AC , radio , no power accesories , no rear wiper ,no spoiler, no sun roof, the mirrors are not painted and it has a smaller center console lid . it was made for racing . It shead nintey pounds and about 4-5k off the sticker . I saw a couple of these come off the truck in Cypress back in nov. They look cool , reminds me of the old muscle car days .

Salinas is definately the place to go. I picked up my '03 @ basically invoice...

They are almost as good as Subaru of santa cruz... (still within the relm of crappy mitsubishi dealer experiance tho)

At the corporate HQ, right? I guess those were likely the press cars.

I thought the RS' MSRP was around $27K. About '04, I doubt they've hit the US yet. Prove us wrong and go take pictures of the leather Recaros and Infinity system .
