San Francisco vocation

Hey guys, I'm planning to take a trip to San Francisco in a couple days. I was wondering if I need to be really watch where to park? Like where is the areas where there's a lot of car theft that I should avoid? I just don't want to take a vocation to a place I've never been with my mom and come home without a car or wheels.

Other than that, where are also good places to visit? Golden gate garden and bay area is on my list. What are good bay restaurants I should stop by?

Thanks for the help and hop I ran across one of the SF Evo owners

Union square is pretty cool. Parking is pretty safe in their garage and you are at the center of shopping, restaurants, china town and just sight seeing things. Pier 39 is also a nice spot for a first time visit. There's some good food and shops and of course the pier.

Try and visit Santa Cruz if you get a chance. Highway 17 to Santa Cruz is a fun drive.
