Well I'm stuck in ballys each day this week... Is there anything intersting going on in the car/evo scene in the evening this week here in Vegas? The strip has bored me already in just over 24 hours.

Well time to head off to another conf session..

 

Head down to the In-N-Out Burger on Tropicana and Industrial (Right on the other side of the I-15 freeway behind the new York New York hotel. There is an Evo/Subi meet on Thursday nights at about 8:00. Plus In-N-Out is legendary here in the west and So. Cal. You have to try one if you are not vegan.

If you're bored and don't gamble, check out Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. They have hammerheads and lots of cool jellyfish. You could also check out the mall at Alladin, Ceasars, Venetian and Fashion Show Mall. Have fun.

 

Sweet. Look for a giant near 7 foot tall Texan Thursday night. My last session is at 5pm, so I'll have a few drinks and wander over there. My father used to live out here 3 years or so ago, so I've seen most everything out here, I'm more of a cruise person, prefer the clean tropical air.. These casino/hotels are way beyond my smoke tolerance levels.. My sinuses are all dried out.. ehhhllll... The venetian is nice, eating over the canals inside (or is it outside, heh) is nice. We won a few coin at a few different places on the strip last night. Mirage.. Venetian. I have to go catch up with my boss over at Ceasers now. Directors drink way too much, heh.

My Sister lives out in San Deigo, and I was out there just a week or so ago, and she always forces out to have an inNout meal..

I'll bring along the dcam Thursday night and snap a few pics of the scene out here. Are there many track (road circuit to be a bit more clear) junkies that come out?

Man didn't even get my pants changed before a reply.. Will do. Well I'm walking out the door now that I'm ready. How many folks usually show up at these? How does the local fuzz tolerate the gatherings? Should I rant one of those ferrari's on the strip for the night? Any idea what the rates are?

 

no one cares about us being over there. and i DO think you should rent a ferrari or Viper from those rent an exotic places on the strip. that would be sweet. people start showiung up over there at in n out at about 7:00-7:15 pm.

Well I dropped a few coins in a slot machine and won the progressive jackpot!! Woohoo! so I got a few extra hundred bucks. I'm thinking of renting an "exotic" for tommorow night, but then again I think I'm still a little lit and need to think is it really worth it.... Maybe a Z06 or 911.. dunno but the real sucky part is, having packed light this week, I only have the company card and no personal credit card on me. If I decide to rip up a Viper for a bit, I'll have to hope I can work something out with em. Thet list not being able to use as a deposit anything but a personal cc. figures.. can't use my cash? or my debit card? or the company card? Of course the president isn't with us, just 2 North American VPs and me.. joy Maybe I should just take the money home and enjoy lots of track time.. that would be the most enjoyable, I'm sure... we'll see what tomorrow brings..

hey Vegas, ill be comming up next week. Flying though. If you are there on next thursday, can i come and see??? Ill pull up in a taxi, but what the F. I just wanna talk cars. Ill leave the wife at a slot. Also are there any good tuner shops there??? Ide rather spend money on a part for the car instead of the Forum shops...... Damn Rolex watch shops......(need a wide band)

 

The meet was pretty good. It was nice to put some faces to the names. Too bad the rental place doesn't like col dhard cash... a z06 woudl have been fun to play with the sweet 911 Turbo that showed up! Lotsa nice soobies there too.

 

Here's the 5 coin triple that dumped a few hundred bucks in my lap.. Man it takes them forever to shut the damn thing up and pay you!

 

raulston, yes, they (we) meet every thursday weather permitting. There are tuner shops, but nothing to buy off the shelf. NASCAR comes to town early march for the Sam's Town 300 and there are tons of fans and pit crews all over the place. I'm not a fan of cars that go in a circle, but lots of events in town during race week.
