what the crap!? 92 octane in AZ?

Okay, so I went and got gas a couple weeks ago and I pulled up to this pump at the gas station:

I made a repeat visit tonight for the pic.

Since when does Arizona sell 92 octane at the pump? This was the only pump in the entire station of 18 pumps that had a 92 sticker on it. I think some hoser put the wrong sticker on the pump. What do you guys think?

Yeah...there was a Mobil1 station on Queen Creek and price out in the Ocotillo area that claimed to sell 93 octane for awhile...The only place I know that sells higher octane than pee-water is Saad's Mobil On the Run on Chandler and 40th by the Sonic and Checker! He sells 101 unleaded. It's convienent because fireslick is right there too!

Same thing happend to me in AZ. I asked about it. The clerk, (which I'm sure was a chemist), said the fuel gurus test their fuel every few months and the last test on THAT pump was 92....SURE
Last time I went by, the sticker read 91!

lol, if that's the case they probably tested the pump at 91.1 octane and rounded up.

We unfortunate bastards in AZ and CA don't get 93 octane as a premium gas, we get 91 at most...

I've seen one gas station somewhere around baseline and ironwood in Mesa/AJ that has 93 octane. Friend of mine always fills up his 600 RR there.

There is freaking Chevron in my area that has the same thing. Yea, only one pump though. However, I don't think it is true. I figure it was a mistake.

I'm not sure where you're located, maybe it's the same station. I took the picture at the Chevron at Ellsworth and Southern in Mesa.
