clutch replacement CK1 or CK2

I will need new tires soon in which I made a seperate post about. But I'm being cautious about my clutch as well. I want to buy an aftermarket clutch as I have no faith in the OEM clutch as most of us don't. I like the Works CK2 clutch but I am worried about Mitsubishi voiding the drivetrain warranty because the car doesn't have the oem clutch. Works I need your feedback on this. I think it's rediculous for Mitsu to void the warranty but with past events I wouldn't put it by them. I'm curious on past experiences or current? All info is appreciated.

Best thing to do is to specifically ask for the clutch unpainted. It makes the clutch appear more ninja like and able to hide from prying eyes a bit better.

I am currently running the CK2 clutch with the Spin Flywheel. You have no factory warrenty on your stock clutch the minute oyu drive off the lot. I can tell you that this clutch is outstanding, I have had no problems. It grabs nicely and I have to say I think it's as easy to drive as the stock clutch. Everyone who has driven the car loves it.

I will tell you though the cluth replacement is a bear, be ready for it. A very good friend of mine is an ASE certified master mechanic and we did the change out at his Nissan dealer after hours.

Good info!

Unfortunately, some dealers already have their VOID stamper in their hand once you arrive for service with non-Mitsubishi wiper fluid in place As with any aftermarket component, it would be on Mitsubishi's shoulders to prove that the non-OEM piece did indeed cause any harm to another part of the car.

WORKS offers both the CK1 and CK2 clutch kits in a silver finish that mimics the OEM look. Peeking through the inspection hole, it would be impossible to tell a difference and maybe even off the car once it's covered in clutch dust.

If you blow your trans or diff. you will never get Mistu to cover it just check around this site. You will be accused of abusing your car and that would probably be a fair statement. The Works clutch and flywheel are a great choice.

All in all if you are adding aftermarket parts you have to expect that voiding the warranty is going to happen, it's a fact of life. But let's not get off topic since there are other threads devoted to that.

I have a bunch of WORKS parts on my car and have to say I have never been disappointed with any part. The CK2 clutch is no exception. I would recomment that anyone replacing the clutch, also change the flywheel. This is only because of the difficulty of changing the clutch in the first place. You may as well do both while you have it in there.

Take care f your trans and diff - if you have concerns just be sure that you change fluids often and switch to synthetics. I Drag and autocross my car and there have been no issues. The cluch was really in pretty good shap when I pulled it our also. I just wanted something with more holding power and the WORKS CK2 has that. (Yes, I can break all 4 tires free! )
