Idle hesitation with P2 flash

Let me start by saying that I've been impressed by all of the Works products I've purchased (especially the sway bar). But now I've got a problem:

I've got the P2 flash and notice that when I'm driving at very slow speeds (<5 mph) and traveling up an incline, my engine will hesitate and my rpms will abruptly drop really low. At times the car has just stalled. This is not just the engine stalling like any other manual transmission would. I noticed it started after the P2 flash and was wondering if it could be something in the flash that is not working well with my setup. I've also got the Works GFB BOV and the full RMR turbo back exhaust. I had those parts before the flash, so the flash should be programmed to accomodate them.

I've tried adjusting the GFB so that more air is recirculated, but that didn't solve the problem. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

I would 1st try putting the stock BOV on and see if it still causes this problem. After that, check all your hoses and make sure everything is tightened.

Do you have an intake? If so, I have an RMR intake and I know that my car also does this because of the intake.

K&N drop-in filter only, but I had this before the flash also.

Are you running a test pipe? Ours did the same thing with a test pipe, put the stock cat back on, no problems.

its the gfb, i had similar issues. at partial throttle, my car was doing what you described. This was with my EVO, majority of the folks that I talked to love their gfb BOV because it works great in thier cars. Can't win them all.

I agree - its the gfb bov. I have a P2 flash and have struggled with the gfb for months.

I agree its the GFB. I sold my GFB and switched to a Forge Recirculating valve. No wooshhhh, but no more idle issues either. I was stalling everytime I pulled my car into the driveway. Now the car runs great, and holds boost as the P2 intended. However, I know some people that have had no problems with the GFB BOV on the Evo. Car runs without a trace of hesitation.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll try adjusting the GFB this weekend to recirculate only and see if that works. Kind of disappointing to buy a $300 piece just to do the same thing the stock plastic BOV did.

If you are close to WORKS I know they can fiddle with it to make is still give ou the Wooshhh, but improve the idle situation. I was tired of the Wooshhh. So it worked out for me.
