WORKS Axle Back Muffler

WORKS is now offering an Axle Back option for those of you seeking an alternative to the straight pipe design. The WORKS Exhale ABM (Axle Back Muffler) now incorporates a resonated canister to help limit the decibels without sacrificing horsepower. These are in stock and ready to ship/pick-up/install at introductory pricing: http://www.worksevo.com/store/produc...roducts_id=188

For a limited time, combine this with our Exhale IP (Intermediate Pipe) as a Cat-Back package for only $749!

Our original Exhale Axle Back is still available as part of the WRP (WORKS Racing Program).

Sweet! I'm toying with the idea of ditching my current CB and going to your IP so I can swap muffler and M/delete in and out. If I get your 76mm IP, will it bolt up to both your muffler and delete? I ask only becuase it says the individule parts bolt up to stock pieces and I don't understand how you could bolt a 70mm flange to a 76mm flange, or are they seperate systems?

I like this exhaust aproach! Nice job.

Thanks! Yes, both Exhale AB units (as well as the OEM/StealthWORKS muffler) are a perfect match to the Exhale IP and can be interchanged at your leisure. The flange WORKS best when mated to another of the same size, but can also be used in conjunction with the smaller OEM flange--provided they are aligned properly to maintain a good seal.

Very nice exhaust. Pretty quiet compare to other catbacks and the plain axleback.

I am very interested in buying this exhaust. I am going to buy the IP with the racing exhale back for racing and when driving on the streets I am going to put my stock muffler on. I will send you my stock muffler for the stealth work but I would like to know how quite it will be and how much lose of power my car will suffer. Also, I want to know how loud is the IP with the straight exhale pipe. I am so tired of cops pulling me over for my Helix.

Thanks

The IP, at least the Non-resonated IP with the WORKS AB (straight pipe) is too loud for my taste. I feel that the StealthWorks muffler is excellent. It keeps near the stock noise level and retains the completely stock look with little lost in power compare to the AB. I believe WORKS claims the AB = 12hp and the StealthWorks=9hp.

Well for the amount of power I am making things are a bit different. I just called them (very nice guys) and in few days I will be ordering the 76 MM IP and the racing exhale back for $699 Plus the stock muffler for 199. I will be swapping between the 2 for racing and driving on the streets. I hope it wont choke my car.

The 76mm ip is resonated so I am assumming that will bring the noise level down a bit compare to the 70mm non-resonated ip. I don't think the stealthworks muffler will be too restrictive. Just curious what's running in your EVO?

Works now have a new muffler called ABM (Look on thier website). I have their complete 3" system (DP, high-flow CAT, IP and this new ABM) and like it, although it's definitely loader than stock.

I am calling them today to order the IP and the loud exhale back... I will be driving with my stock muffler on the streets and with the exhale back when racing

Yes, it looks like a great piece. I was wondering how loud it would be with the ABM. I was assuming it would be louder than stock but how does it compare to the regular AB. I just know that with: WORKS DP, HFC, NR IP, AB - it is way too loud for my taste.

I am wondering if it would be a significant reduction in noise level if the AB was to be replaced with their new ABM.

I just know that with this setup: WORKS DP, HFC, NR IP, StealthWorks Muffler - the noise is barely louder than stock level while being quite unrestrictive.

The WORKS Exhale ABM reduces sound levels much better than our AB. I don't have any recordings/readings to share by comparison as of yet, but I would say it's no more than halfway between an OEM/StealthWORKS and the Exhale AB as far as dB level. Volume is very moderate and the tone is one of the deeper ones out there
