If your talking about the 10.5 hotside, all the 05 evos have it and its "suppposed" to be like ~10whp, and a little more turbo lag. Everybody loves this upgrade, as I have experienced on other forums. I think its a good upgrade, cheap and functional.

Hey, does the TME turbo require a different flash from the standard 10.5cm flash?

I've heard that the 02 housing is much better on the 05's.Is that true and if not approx how much power would you gain from a aftermarket one?

According to CAPS, all the 03-05 o2 housings have the same p/n.

Thanks for the quick response Marksae. The reason I asked is that I just talked to a local Evo tuner yesterday and he said it was a waste of $$ on the 05's.He did say that the 03-04 was much more choked up.

cams will give you topend, the 10.5 will give you torque. i say get both. cars w/a 10.5 are averaging 20whp more than cars w/out & having the same mods. i would also get a 76mm Mines turbo outlet housing & JIC exhaust manifold as well to complete the package. what a few extra hundred right???

BUMP.

Can you let me know when the flash is ready? I have my 10.5 hotside installed and am patiently waiting.

Initial impressions tell me I lost a little spoolup to gain mroe midrange and top end. But the tune feels like it can use a little optimizing. So I'm just waiting for WORKS to get their flash ready for me.

Okay, WORKS got me all squared away w/ the updated flash. My bottom end and spool up was slightly improved w/ the updated flash. Powerwise, there definitely is a very noticeable improvement in the midrange and top end with the 10.5 hotside. Overall, a very good bang for the buck mod.

Thanks for the PM Jamie! I really appreciate it! I thought I should ask my next question here. My understanding is that the compressor side is different also in regard to the '05 turbo. Does this new 10.5 housing take that into account as well as the "revised wastegate flapper?" Or is this flash stictly meant for just the 10.5 hotside. Second question is can we all expect gains that are the same across the powerband as that of an '05 with a std '05 P2 flash? Sorry if these are the most retarded questions ever but I'm really trying to decide which mod route I should go and want I need to take into account. Thanks again!

The compressor housing is a different part number, but the center cartridge is the same. The flash is aimed at replacing just the exhaust housing with the 10.5, but we can certainly do the same for a complete '05 turbo (although I wouldn't suspect a huge variation). The flapper shouldn't affect the flash aside from providing a more stable boost behavior with the improved design. I would think you should obtain all the performance characteristics that an '05 P2 in an '03/'04 P2 with the 10.5 housing.
