Engineering News

We spent 11 hours tuning the AFRs (and just began ignition timing) on the road on Tuesday. Not even close to being done yet with either but already the difference is significant. The WORKS/Innovate datalogger is working flawlessly.
BTW, WORKS will be offering the Tx kit for this turbo.

"x" is a variable. Depending on the final tune, the kit may end up being a "T2" or "T3" etc.

I would suggest a fuel pump upgrade with that little beast.

The car we're tuning right now is using stock pump/injectors with water/alcohol injection (~24PSI, 91 octane). This particular setup is performing well. Once we get another EVO in the shop with the WR, we'll be better able to answer what additional supporting mods will be called for.

.........so, TR340 + Rabbit + cast O2 housing, injectors and custom tune for 91(no H20/alky) = TR-390? Sounds like a great daily driver, no nonsense beast!

Please post these results asap... I'd love to know if this is trully a direct swap turbo or if it requires Injectors and Fuel Pump upgrades...

This is a direct swap, but to take full advantage of the turbo you will most likely need injectors and a fuel pump unless you are running water and/or alcohol injection.

I would highly rec that you get larger injectors and pump if you swap out the stock turbo...regardless if it is a direct swap or not.

Small ship just came in.

I'd LOVE to know Works is going to verify and document the WR and, further, that I can get 400whp with it, 3"TBE, 93 octane, and P2 retune ... pump and injectors if necessary too ...

Talk to me/us Works!

Reading this article here has me believing in the 'under the curve' facts that WORKS lives by. The FQ340 (ahhemTR340??) with stock turbo already equals or outpulls the Garret FQ400 in real world conditions! I cant wait for a 'stock spooling/hitting' Rabbit on top of a TR340 pkg to be out an documented.

good read if you have 10 minutes!
