i just ordered 10.5 hot side, 76mm dp, o2 housing, and aperture t/b II. i will be shiping my intake manifold out to them for port matching for the t/b. im so happy today. anyway any1 have this t/b and port matched i/m with out a tune. please chim in here. im geting a tune probly in a few mounths after i get a few more things. works will probly do my tune. i cant have the car down to long so im just puting on thos 2 parts. any impot it welcome.
You'll still be able to run the car, but you may not be taking full advantage of the parts. You should still be getting 95% out of the parts alone with the remaining few percentage points to follow with a flash... not to mention the additional ~25 HP/TQ that the WORKS Brain Flash will give you.
well i forgot to ad that im puting the dp on as well. i got a cat back and making my cat delete pipe. i need a o2 simulator to fix the cel problem. im looking into the perrin one. any way since im removing my cat let me refraze this. do i need a tune with turbo back, t/b and ported i/m. or no i will be fine and see a nice gain. also should i put the o2 housing on or wait for the tune. thanks works and every1 else for all your time and input.
Especially since you are sending your manifold out, send Works your ECU and get it flashed at the same time. Reflash is one of the best mods you can get and will let you take advantage of your other mods.
well my reason for not sending my ecu out is because im waiting on a few more parts to come in. i dont want to send my ecu out 2 or 3 times to update it with the new parts. but since i got the t/b i need to send mine back to them. at the same time my manifold will go aswell to be port matched. the car cant be down for to long. this is y im puting on the ported manifold and t/b. plus i got my catback siting here and my g/f is tierd of triping over it alone with other parts. so what i was going to do is while my car is down and the parts are out. i was going to pull the stock turbo back off and put my new dp and catback on. but i still got more stuff to get before the finall install of all the parts go on. then works will be geting a phone call and my ecu. till then this is my option. i just want to no if il see a gain. or do i NEED a tune. i dont want my car to die. she dose tho but tuff s!@# for her. anyway i hope you understand what i meen here.

Going from the stock cat to a test pipe will generally allow the boost to spike a little higher. However, the O2 housing protoype that I ran on my car for a bit seemed to lower boost just a tad. There's a chance the two will somewhat equalize each other from a boost spike perspective. In the end, you'll want to carefully monitor things once you get them installed and take it easy until you're assured all is well. Ideally, the flash should be addressed ASAP. Depending on what your future modifications entail, we may be able to "preload" some software that will take those into account. Keep in mind, performance may be suppressed and this is still not an ideal tuning situation.
