Also....heres my pics(not purchased or installed yet due to greedy IRS) of the stocker O2 and stock snail vs. Rabbit. These tuned for 25-28psi and H20 injection for over 400hp on 91 whilst looking bone stock is my plan eventually...alot of money but the hood stays shut except for oil changes and the only thing you'll have to 'baby sit' is the water/alky tank out back. Do a 2.3/.4 kit then do away w/ balance shafts for a totally stock looking, early spooling, driveable street terror
Stocker

White Rabbit fan/porting

From what I've seen from buschur they like the cheap one and it works well. It's even on their website /coated. I have alot of works products but sorry I don't see the total justification in huge price. Thats half the cost of an evo 9 turbo alone with the 10.5 hotside. No way in hell would i pay $450 for that part.

-any word on whether this is a worth-while upgrade to the EVO IX's? The stock piece seemed to look like it would have decent flow? Any test results on the IX's yet?
Thanks

Yes, we've done a few of these for local IX owners. The IX still uses the identical stock housing as the VIII. We haven't done single-part testing on a IX, but did do a before/after in conjunction with the flash and turbo-back exhaust. Gains were impressive, but because of multiple components, it's hard to say which piece helped where.

What advantage does your 02 housing have over the similar invidia one that sells for 1/2 the price?

Haven't seen one here at the shop, so we can't comment. From the pictures the obvious advantages are the retention of the OEM sensor location as well as the mounting points for the factory heat shield and the nice thick flanges on the WORKS unit. There's a difference in materials used--ours is cast iron like Mitsubishi's.

Just added the same to my own EVO a couple of months ago. Gains were nice--more mid and upper RPMs. No dyno numbers, but seat of the pants is similar to cams from 4K and up. WORKS 269 cams are next for me and will balance things out on the low end and accentuate the top Give Oliver or Kirk a call for an install quote.

Had this installed on Tuesday with 10.5 Hotside. Very good mod, less lag I believe and my car got way louder. Will be dynoing my car in the coming weeks. Will post numbers.
